Poor young Adele! The acclaimed London songstress has been the subject of some fake pictures that seek to show her engaging in sexual acts.

I like Adele – some of her songs are excellent and she has an entrancing, mesmerising voice. I have previously put up a few of her tracks on this blog – Someone Like You, Rolling in the Deep and Set Fire to the Rain that are all from her album 21.

No doubt she is upset by these scurrilous revelations that appeared in a pernicious French magazine. Her lawyers are threatening to sue their asses off.

She has an interest in doing this as she has carved out a niche as a soulful and angst riven female. She’s a good north/south London girl with a twangy ordinary speaking voice. A Pamela Anderson or Paris Hilton-esque tape would not be good for her image.

It is not the case that all publicity is good publicity. Also as I pointed out in a recent article, once something appears unchallenged in the mass media – in the newspapers for example – then it becomes a ‘fact’. That is why Adele’s publicists have very noisily challenged the veracity of the sex images.

Plenty of unsubstantiated gossiping takes place on the internet. Only a foolish person would get upset about that sort of tittle-tattle. You are better off treating it as a source of amusement. As they say there’s only one thing worse than being talked about and that’s not being talked about.

But once it hits the press – that’s when you’ve got to worry.

ENGLISH IDENTITY

I recently had cause to travel up to Bonnie Scotland (as previously reported on this blog) for a brief sojourn in Auld Reekie.

Scotland is a very pleasant place and many Scots are excellent fellows. Part of my personal heritage comes from north of the border. At the turn of the 19th century one of my great grandfathers was John Deans Hope, the Liberal MP for West Fife and then Haddington (East Lothian) which is where the family had various farms.

However I am English and am perfectly comfortable with my Englishness. I also have to say that Edinburgh felt to me like a foreign city. Not totally alien but still foreign - different. More different from my usual haunts in Essex and London than are say Leeds or Dorset.

Foreign in a similar way as Brussels, Ostend or Strasbourg are foreign. Not quite as foreign as those places, but still foreign.

We share a common European heritage with the French, the Flemings and the Germans. The chocolate box villages of Swabia for example have much in common with the attractive rural villages that define the glorious Essex countryside. There are similarities, there are things that are familiar - yet they are different. I am lucky enough to sometimes visit these places and it is a pleasant experience. Where they the same as London and Essex then the world would be a much poorer place.

These differences should be valued. We should not I think want to be homogeneous. The differences give vitality to life. They make people who live within their cultures comfortable with their lives. It leads to harmonious civic societies. The dislocation we see in our society - with rising crime and a lack of trust between citizens is a natural consequence of the decline in shared cultural values that matured over centuries and through generations of trial and error.

So the foreignness of Edinburgh is not something that should be seen as bad. It should be applauded.

Edinburgh looked tangibly different. The people carried themselves differently. There frankly are differences between England and Scotland. It is pointless denying it. Being of part Scottish background I do not feel in the least threatened by these differences. I do not feel threatened by Scottish devolution. I do not feel that I am any the less of a person if the Union is restructured to give expression to the more localised cultures.

Indeed I would suggest that the statist denial of Englishness in favour of a less rooted and vaguer Britishness has been very harmful to the English. The English tend to be less culturally aware than the Scots and Welsh. They have been more softened up so they are less able to resist globalism and the liberal ascendency's schemes for enforced multi-culturalism and the establishment of a multi-racial state.

England as by far the biggest piece on the British board has been emasculated by the denial of Englishness in favour of vague Britishness. Within the Union, the English are those that are most under threat from extinction.

The English no longer see themselves as the hegemon. They no longer feel that they have the whip hand. They are the repressed, the dispossessed. They are the people that the liberal ascendency despises and fears in equal measure. They fear our latent strength.

Reclaiming our English identity and recognising our distinctiveness and difference is the first and most important step in our struggle for survival as a people.

MY TIME IN THE BNP

I know I am a controversial character. I have only been actively involved with the nationalist scene in this country for about two years but in that short time I became relatively well known, often for the wrong reasons.

It began when my former partner Stephen Squire joined the BNP after the European Election in 2009. His father had been in the National Front in the 1970s although Mr Squire himself did not express much interest in politics prior to this. He had been married to a lady from the Mendoza family and actually used that name for business purposes after he was made bankrupt in the late 1990s. He then married a Turkish lady from Istanbul. So it was by no means necessarily a natural progression from father to son that took Mr Squire into the BNP.

I was born in South Africa. My grandfather was an Afrikaner of German descent. The Afrikaner or Boer nation is made up not just of Dutch settlers, but also French Huguenots, Flemish people, and Germans who settled there from about 1650 onwards and forged themselves into a new nation. Through my Oupa (grandfather) I gained my first insight into nationalist politics – from the age of four years onwards!

However most of my blood is British. My mother was born in Devon and was called Dalgleish. I am proud of my South African heritage and feel a real connection to the problems my people are experiencing now on a daily basis. I am also proud of my English ancestry and love living in the land of my forefathers.

THE BNP ATTACK DOG

It seemed natural for me to join the British National Party but unfortunately when I did, unknown to me at the time, it was going through a severe period of internal infighting.

Full of new enthusiasm, I was keen to do whatever I could for my new party.

Instead of being encouraged to organise positive activities I was very quickly tasked to act as an attack dog on the internet. For those who do not know, an attack dog is someone who anonymously attacks and defames political opponents on internet chat forums and social networking sites such as Facebook.

I am ashamed to say that I went along with it. My only excuse is that I was keen to do whatever was asked of me to further what I thought was the good of the cause.

Also the people who encouraged me in these activities were none other than the Chairman of the BNP Nick Griffin, someone who I naively looked up to from afar, and my partner Stephen Squire, who despite his political inexperience had become the London Organiser for the British National Party. In retrospect it was incredibly cynical for both of these men to use me, an inexperienced and keen woman in such an unforgiving and vile environment.

The main target that Nick Griffin wanted me to attack was inevitably Eddy Butler.

I was tasked to create division and dissent in the ranks of the English Democrats in an attempt to prevent Eddy Butler from joining them.

Another major task was to try to induce Andrew Brons to sack Eddy Butler from his employment as a European Parliamentary researcher.

The intention was that I, along with my fellow attack dogs, was supposed to destroy Eddy Butler, as Nick Griffin was totally obsessed with him as he regarded him as his nemesis.

I can now say that I am pleased that I was unsuccessful in all of these tasks.

Other targets were Andrew Brons, Chris Beverley and later Allen Lake and Paul Weston of the English Defence League.

I often had to stoop to a very low level in these attacks. I had updates on a daily basis from Nick Griffin on the line to adopt. Instead of focussing on positive things to advance the BNP, in my experience Nick Griffin was obsessed with negativity.

The following text message, which was recently publicised:

As with attacks on Cheryl Dunn, it´s counter productive to have a go at people who are either out of it or not fully committed to other side. Indeed, it´s bad even to draw attention to hostile small fish since it makes it look at (sic) though Brons has lots of backers. Please press anyone involved to concentrate on key and legitimate targets only: brons, Kemp, Butler. Tilbrook, Beverley, Collett, Moffat, golding, Dowson, McLied. That´s quite a long list of vermin.”

was originally sent to me by Nick Griffin. It was just one of very many.

On one occasion a number of senior British National Party officers gathered in Mr Squire's house to teach me what they regarded as the mysterious arts of being an attack dog. In fact their tactics were inept as was amply illustrated by the ridiculously long list of targets that Nick Griffin itemised in the above text.

I would like to unreservedly apologise to all of the people who were the victims of these attacks.

Another example of the duplicitous and rather disgusting activities that I was encouraged to engage in concerned Andrew Moffat.

The Reverend Robert West was keen to arrange to bring the warring factions in the BNP together and told Nick Griffin about his hopes. Nick Griffin played along with this and tasked me to meet with Andrew Moffat, one of Andrew Brons’s close associates.

As they were aware of my previous career in the glamour industry, Nick Griffin and unbelievably my supposed partner Stephen Squire effectively tried to pimp me out to Moffat to seduce him in order to break his allegiance to Andrew Brons.

Need I say that I refused to do this unsavoury task.

Ironically, by making me focus on Eddy Butler, I inevitably started to read his blog and found that most of what he said made sense and alarm bells started ringing in my head. Strangely, both Mr Squire and Nick Griffin encouraged me to meet Eddy Butler, in the hope that it would somehow hasten his demise. When I eventually did meet him I found him to be totally unlike the character that had been painted. He was gentlemanly, polite, understated and earnest. It was clear that his motivation was honourable and his knowledge of the romantic and heroic roots of nationalism were unrivalled and in total contrast to what I had the misfortune to experience while in the British National Party.

Inevitably I then became torn, as I started to understand what was wrong within the British National Party. I had made some very good friends among the remaining rank and file activists. I was also involved in a long-term relationship with a senior officer and I had to come to terms with the reality that he had thrown me into an unsavoury world in order to advance his own political career. This made it very difficult for me to tear my self away.

I had daily arguments with my partner as I was concerned that he was putting himself forward to high office (as the BNP’s lead candidate for the Greater London Assembly) when he had skeleton’s in his cupboard that would inevitably come to light and cause severe problems. I had refused to put myself forward for public office due to my previous involvement in the glamour industry as I believed that it would detract from me being taken seriously. However Mr Squire was becoming obsessed with his position in the BNP to the detriment of everything else, even though he also knew that there were severe problems with the BNP’s finances.

UNWELCOME ADVANCES

The other major problem was that Nick Griffin was subjecting me to increasingly unwelcome attention.

As a brand new member who held no official position in the BNP, initially I felt flattered by his attention. After all as he was supposedly a major political figure and had some sort of celebrity status. However his texts soon moved onto sexual innuendo and then blatant requests for sex. What is worse my partner was aware of this yet he encouraged me to spend more and more time with Nick Griffin in order to advance his own career.

I was subjected to several unfortunate incidents with Nick Griffin in person, the flavour of which can be gauged by these text messages that he sent me:

Did you get list. Do you know the French side of the tunnel? And be aware that it’s very hot over here so you don’t need to wear very much.

The list is an English Democrat membership list that I was supposed to obtain from a naive member of that party. I had to pick Nick Griffin up from France on this occasion for spurious reasons when his car was involved in an accident. It led to one of the unfortunate incidents I mentioned above. Then the same day:

That’s a given. As is checking that your legs feel as silky as they look.

And again on the same day when I made a straightforward request:

There goes the dominatrix side again. No need to insist, though on this occasion I will do as ordered. And only stop if told to.

Then:

What train are you booked on? And what are you going to wear?

THE SMEARS

Shortly before Christmas last year I finally resigned from the British National Party and left my partner. These were both big decisions but I had to take them in order to re-establish my bearings as a valid human being.

Inevitably this has in turn led me being attacked by my former colleagues. That is the fate of anyone who breaks ranks with Nick Griffin. I am now being accused of all sorts of horrendous things on internet chat forums and Facebook, which I will not give extra space to here. The attack dogs are out in force against the former attack dog! I can see that there is a certain grim irony involved in this. I recognise the tactics only too well. I can see the pattern. I can tell immediately who is responsible and who inspires the attacks.

In the face of this I put the following message out:

I have become aware that certain people are defaming my character and attempting to spread lies and false stories about my past. Those responsible are connected to a past personal relationship (to someone called Stephen Squire) and a previous unfortunate political affiliation I had with the British National Party.

I am well aware that this is normal when anyone falls out with the leadership of the British National Party. The internet is used as a weapon in an attempt to destroy people’s reputations.
I used to be a model and used to be associated with the glamour industry. I am proud of this, just as I am proud of my ongoing work on behalf of the beleaguered Boers of my native South Africa.
My many true friends know this and I value their continued support.

THE BOER GENOCIDE

I have had a long term interest in the plight of the Boers in South Africa. Although as I have said I was a quarter Afrikaner, my upbringing was almost exclusively within the English speaking community. Some people may find it surprising but there was considerable hostility between white South Africans of English and Afrikaner background. The Afrikaners regarded the English as being too liberal.

The Afrikaners are a proud and fiercely independent people. They resisted British imperialism in two costly wars in the Victorian period. They trekked into the interior of Africa to escape British rule and opened up vast new areas to farming and civilisation.

Now under majority rule, the new South Africa viciously persecutes the Afrikaners and the Boer farmers in particular. World liberal opinion is largely disinterested in the ongoing genocide as the South African government is their favoured pet while the Afrikaners are still castigated for Apartheid – the years of white minority rule.

This is a cause that I am passionately interested in. Saving the Boers is what I now intend to devote my political time towards.

I wish the friends that I have made in politics well and hope that those who I regrettably upset can forgive and understand my past actions.

TRAVELLING NORTH

MICHAEL BARNBROOK AND JOHNNY LEECH JOIN THE ENGLISH DEMOCRATS!

The experienced South East London nationalist campaigners Michael Barnbrook and Johnny Leech have decided to join the English Democrats. The English Democrats are England’s fastest growing political party and more and more seasoned nationalist are realising that it is their true political home.

At an informal meeting last night in Bexley south east London with Steve Uncles and Eddy Butler, Michael Barnbrook and Johnny Leech both decided that it was time to make a stand and speak out for England and the English.

Michael Barnbrook has stood for election many times at local and Parliamentary level. He is perhaps best known as ‘the sleazebuster’, in which capacity he has brought to book numerous politicians who have been caught ‘on the make’.

Michael Barnbrook spent 30 years in the Metropolitan Police and retired in the rank of Inspector. He then helped Greenwich Council to set up their own Parks Constabulary.

Johnny Leech has been very active in Greenwich in recent years and is a very capable political organiser. He will really boost the English Democrats in South East London

These two key activists will both be major assets for the English Democrats. Their decision illustrates that the EDs are the only viable option for sensible and responsible nationalists.

SALFORD REFERENDUM

The English Democrats are the only nationalist party that has been able to make any make any tangible impact on British politics. In the directly elected Mayor of Doncaster Peter Davies they have the only elected nationalist representative who is able to actually make real decisions that affect people’s lives.

Meanwhile in Salford the local English Democrats have made history in their fantastic campaign to have a mayoral election for that local authority. Under the guidance of the English Democrat North West England Regional Chairman Stephen Morris, some 8,500 signatures were painstakingly obtained in a petition that asked for a referendum on whether Salford should have a directly elected mayor. Once the required number of signatures had been obtained the referendum was triggered. The local Labour establishment, who have controlled Salford ever since the current local authority was created in 1974, were naturally dead against any scheme that might threaten their power base.

Nevertheless thanks to the energetic work of Stephen Morris the referendum was won and there will be an election this May for a directly elected mayor or council leader for Salford.

This is real politics. This is the English Democrats making real changes. The English Democrats are not about creating some trivial street theatre. The English Democrats do not make a public spectacle of themselves. The English Democrats facilitate democratic accountability. The English Democrats have given the people of Salford the opportunity to change the way their area is governed and given the chance for an independent voice to emerge to drive the disgraced Labour Party into the shadows. Many directly elected mayors have not been from the disgraced old parties – most particularly when the disgraced old party opposed the creation of a directly elected mayor.

By winning this referendum Stephen Morris has actually made more impact on our politics than all the activities of all the old skule failed nationalist parties of the past. This is a lesson for those who persist with those failed tactics now.

MEANWHILE BACK IN THE SEWER

An increasingly desperate Nick Griffin has been forced to admit that his decrepit party is £850,000 in debt. This shocking figure will be revealed apparently when the BNP’s 2010 accounts are finally published by the Electoral Commission. Some people think that the BNP will never publish it accounts – they are already 8 months overdue and the BNP are officially the most inept and financially incompetent political party in Britain. They enjoy joke status. When or if they are published a big fine awaits them. Maybe even deregistration – that would be amusing.

I remember that back in August 2010 I said the BNP were £600,000 in debt and a number of deadbeats kept saying ‘where’s your evidence’. Well it was there for anyone with half a brain to see – which is why everyone with at least half a brain actively opposes Nick Nick Griffin and all his works.

Now even Nick Nick Griffin has admitted it!

I don’t expect this will make any difference to the utter deadbeats who still follow Nick Nick.

Nevertheless it always gives me some satisfaction to know that ‘Butler is always right’.

GLA IN THE NEWS

The stumbling BNP’s campaign to get Steve Mendoza elected to the Greater London Assembly to occupy Richard Barnbrook’s seat, has taken yet another knock. Yet another nail has been driven into their political coffin. In fact there are so many nails in it that it is more nail than coffin.

The latest body blow is a story in today’s Evening Standard which alleges that certain BNP officers defrauded the Greater London Assembly out of unspecified sums.

In my opinion – and I know a fair amount about what happened back then – this is a bit of a non story. But that doesn’t matter.

Anyone who sees that Evening Standard headline ‘Ex-BNP chiefs accused of £1m fraud on GLA and taxman’ will believe that the BNP have been ‘at it’. It is like in the classic political satire ‘Wag the Dog’. The BNP fraud is ‘real’ as it was in the news.

Does anyone think all publicity is good publicity? I hear that some fools in London BNP are trying to keep their ‘stoical’ moral up by claiming this. Well, compared to the newspaper stories that are likely to unfold over the coming weeks, this story will by comparison perhaps indeed be regarded as ‘good publicity’. This story will be like a snip, compared to the big bloopers I hear rumoured.

For once Nick Nick Griffin is not involved in this story. And I can scotch rumours that Jim Dowson had any connection to it also. I believe Richard Barnbrook also to be totally innocent (there's a first time for everything). I can also confirm that I had absolutely nothing to do with the release of this story that seems to have come about as a result of a legal squabble between two companies. Some people have a morbid fear of me and view me as a variety of Demi-God – capable of wreaking havoc with a click of my fingers and being in total control of events. But I cannot claim credit for this one as the principals would be able to confirm. I could have no doubt managed the story better to prevent the fall out that has occurred but that is not my concern.

I heard a whisper a couple of weeks ago that something was perhaps brewing but as there frankly seemed to me to be little in it, I put this rumour down to tittle-tattle from someone who was desperate to be involved in things and be the subject of gossip. Some people just love to be the centre of attention!

The picture that accompanies the article was actually taken at the 2008 local election press conference held in Dagenham. It was an event that I stage managed. At that time Emma Colgate was operating effectively under me as my Deputy Regional Organiser.

How times have changed since then. Less than four years ago and everything is different!

Prior to the 2008 Greater London Assembly elections Emma Colgate worked for Simpson and Webb – a recruitment agency that had a scruffy office above a Chinese nail manicure shop in Grays, Essex. Emma Colgate developed a close relationship with the management of Simpson and Webb and they agreed at one point to allow the BNP’s Eastern Region to sub let a room in this office. This became our printing headquarters – with two digi-duplicators, a guillotine and a shaker crammed into a small room with reams of paper, spare barrels for the printers and ink. Literally hundreds of thousands of local election leaflets were efficiently produced here in the run up to the May 2008 elections – even though the offices stank of the noxious chemicals used by the Chinese nail polishers and a naked flame would probably have rendered the entire premises to rubble.

PLUS ÇA CHANGE, PLUS C'EST LA MÊME CHOSE

I appointed Emma Colgate to work under me on the team to help run the GLA election campaign as the lead candidate Richard Barnbrook was proving to be very difficult to deal with. When Richard Barnbrook was elected there was a certain amount of horse trading to determine who would work at the GLA building as researchers and so forth. It was decided eventually that there would be one full time member of staff (Emma Colgate) and two part timers (one of whom was Simon Darby who strangely does not get mentioned in the Evening Standard story).

Like all bureaucracies the GLA took time to appoint staff. In the interim, before this could be properly arranged, the staff were taken on via an employment agency. The GLA had a number of employment agencies on their list of approved contractors, but because of the special circumstances surrounding the staff who would be acceptable to work for a BNP GLA member, it was agreed that a ‘BNP friendly’ employment agency would be added to the list of approved GLA contractors.

This agency then supplied the three BNP members to the GLA as temporary workers until such time as they were taken on as permanent members of staff. This took about four months. So for around four months the GLA paid the employment agency for the staff they supplied and the agency paid the staff their wages.

None of the original three members of staff still work for the GLA. Tony Avery is mentioned in the Evening Standard story and he replaced one of the original three about six months in and again was initially signed on via the agency. One other permanent member of staff arrived later. There were also two female part timers that I know of, but I think they were never put on the GLA’s permanent books as Richard Barnbrook was constantly using the staffing issue as political leverage and also wanted usually to get his current girlfriend (whoever that might be) on the books as a staffer.

Anyway it is totally normal in such circumstances for the agency to be paid commission for finding and placing the staff and for administering the payroll.

The agency that was used was Simpson and Webb, the company that Emma Colgate previously worked for. Going on stories that I was told at the time I always had the impression that Simpson and Webb were slightly dodgy, but then who am I to know? Simpson and Webb are one of the companies involved in the litigation relating to this case.

There is every chance that Emma Colgate may have been paid part of the commission for ‘finding’ the staff. I would suggest that this is not exactly illegal or particularly improper. If she did, and I honestly can’t remember, it may be a bit dubious from a moral perspective, but that is about it.

All the invoices I have seen relating to the case look legitimate to me.

Essentially the only story is that this employment agency had dealings with the BNP, and the company was subsequently involved in litigation that resulted in its accounts being opened for public inspection which revealed the old BNP link. The £1 million claim relates to other non BNP related issues involving the companies. The total amount of commission paid relating to the staff when working as temps via this agency cannot have been more than a few thousand pounds.

SCHADENFREUDE

This latest episode has made me recall how the current troubles in the BNP arose – back in March 2010, when the deceased David Hannam told to Emma Colgate about various allegations regarding financial malpractice in the BNP. This information was relayed to me by Emma Colgate, and also to Mark Collett. We resolved to do something about it after the pending General Election. Of course the matter was blown before then as Mark Collett met Dave Hannam to talk about it. Hannam taped the conversation and did one of his splice jobs to make it sound as if the meeting was about something else altogether more sinister. Mark Collett was arrested on trumped up charges for plotting murder. The charges were dropped as there was of course no evidence at all, but in the meantime Nick Griffin had destroyed the BNP’s electoral prospects by running to the media with the invented murder plot story. I was sacked from all positions but challenged Nick Griffin after the General Election and Mark Collett helped me. Since then the BNP has declined rapidly and lost three quarters of its members. Emma Colgate, presumably for domestic reasons, refused to say a word or lift a finger during all this despite being in many ways the catalyst for what happened.

She has permanently dropped out of politics altogether.

There is some strange irony in her being suddenly thrust back in the limelight in this manner, surrounded by allegations of fraud and as an unwitting agent for the further destruction of the BNP.

RIZZLE KICKS VS PATSY

Back to gossip folks.

It’s been a while since we heard from Clive Rizzle Kicks Jefferson whose been getting mighty lonesome up in cold Cumbria, manning the Wigton Offices. Oh he hasn’t been all alone. Dawn Charlton keeps him company – the one I have seen called the ‘Scaryport Scrapper’. Rizzle Kicks and the ‘Scrapper’ are very close friends.

Before Christmas it was reported that someone called Stephen Palmer resigned as the web editor of the BNP’s main website. Palmer was regarded as a Patsy Harrington placeman. The obvious consequence of his departure was that a vacancy arose. Who would fill it?

These little conundrums always result in a tug-of-war between Rizzle Kicks and Patsy as part of their on-going rival faction building power struggle.

Remember Moobs? As we know he has a sense of entitlement when it comes to BNP jobs, particularly in the IT sphere. He is always threatening to resign and walk away, but is as regularly cajoled back with the bait of a job dangled in from of his eyes.

Patsy sees him as being one of his clique so clearly Patsy doesn’t want Moobs to walk off in a huff. Rizzle Kicks however is supremely indifferent to poor Moobs’s fate. Moobs was interviewed for the vacancy but is being kept on tenterhooks. It is a bit like one of those advert breaks on ‘Who want’s to be a Millionaire’.

Unfortunately for Moobs, he was given the officer registration list a few months back and has done nothing to keep it up to date. He didn’t feel inspired to do that task as he wasn’t being paid. This isn’t much of a recommendation now that he is going for a new job! To be fair Mark Walker and Lindsay Reynolds also used to help keep the officer registration database up to date but neither of these two are trusted to do it now either.

Rizzle Kicks wants his ‘close friend’ the ‘Scrapper’ to be given the job.

However the fly in the ointment is Chris Barnett. Readers will remember that this IT wizard and keen enthusiast of Mendoza’s Marching Cordial is regularly bullied by Rizzle Kicks and invariably goes off crying to Patsy for protection. On one occasion Nick Nick Griffin even had to visit Rizzle Kicks and tell him off for bullying Barnett and that he had to be left alone.

Ever since, despite Rizzle Kicks’s fierce objections, Barnett has been going to Nick Nick’s Wigton Euro Office (but doesn’t do European work…) and has been sitting there spying on behalf of Patsy, passing information back about what transpires. He is Patsy’s eyes and ears.

How the worm has turned. Barnett is now saying that the ‘Scrapper’ isn’t up to the task of maintaining the officer’s list. Frankly the list isn’t very long now but she doesn’t want to ring up all the names only to be told by most of them that they are no longer interested in anything to do with the British National Party. He reluctance to do this hasn’t enhanced her chances. She spends far too much time on the British Democracy Forum under various guises.

The significance of this is that no one knows who is and who isn’t an officer. So no elections for Regional Officers can take place. How convenient. These Regional Officers are supposed to sit on the new National Executive.

Believe it or not, Barnett wants to use ALFRED to maintain the officer database. Remember ALFRED? They never talk about it now do they?

The situation will get worse when Princess Jennifer goes on maternity leave before April. She will be gone and Rizzle Kicks will be even more isolated. In any case she is reportedly looking towards Europe and finds life in Wigton dull.

THE UKIP OPTION?

I have heard many people say that if the ‘civic’ nationalist option is the correct path to follow, then people should opt for UKIP rather than the English Democrats.

I will examine this proposition.

Firstly, I will again reject the tag ‘civic’. I do not think any descriptive terms are necessary other than ‘nationalist’.

I do not and have never referred to myself as a civic nationalist, a racial nationalist, a cultural nationalist or a ethno nationalist. What is important is that we are nationalists and share common feelings and can unite around a common manifesto.

NEVER MAKE THE GRADE

UKIP made their first breakthrough back in 1999. This was the first European Election held under proportional representation and UKIP gained 3 MEPs with a shade under 7% of the vote.

They did considerably better in 2004, with just over 16% which got then 12 MEPs. In 2009 their share of the vote increased marginally to 16.5% and 13 of their members were elected to the European Parliament.

Since 1999 they have had a platform to grow and expand into other areas. However they have consistently failed to do this, despite the massive advantages that this should have conferred upon them. They remain a party that only has relevance at the European Election

For example in the Welsh Assembly their vote went from 2.3% in 2003 to 4.0% in 2007 and 4.6% in 2011. In the 2009 European Election UKIP polled 12.8% in Wales.

In the Greater London Assembly Top Up List their vote has gone from 2.0% in 2000, to 8.2% and 2 members elected in 2004 (purely because it was on the same day as the European Election) and back to 1.9% and no one elected in 2008.

They spend up to the maximum limit in Parliamentary by-elections and usually fail to defeat any of the main three parties although they do usually save their deposit. For the money spent this is not a massive vote of confidence. UKIP’s results in recent Parliamentary by-elections are as follows:

Feltham and Heston (December 2011) - 5.5%

Inverclyde (June 2011) - 1.0%
Leicester South (May 2011) - 2.9%
Barnsley Central (March 2011) - 12.2% - defeated the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats
Oldham East and Saddleworth (January 2011) – 5.8%

The only result that stands out is that achieved in Barnsley Central and the momentum was immediately lost.

In local elections they have signally failed to set the world on fire. They have occasional local successes where local activist have good experience usually after a group has defected from one of the major parties. Their most notable success was in taking control of Ramsey Town Council – in rural Huntingdonshire. The BNP, for all its limitations, vastly outstripped UKIP in terms of its local by-election performance when it operated efficiently between around 2003 to 2009.

Quite simply, UKIP has had every opportunity to break into the big time, to challenge the political establishment outside the confines of the European Elections, yet they have always failed to make any significant impact.

Is it likely that they will ever be able to make the grade? I would suggest not. They are limited partly due to their absolute infatuation with all things to do with Europe. Talk to a UKIPer and that is all you get. They are psychologically unable to make themselves relevant in terms of local government or even Westminster elections.

So while UKIP can attract a decent body of support and a healthy membership, while they can make impact in the absence of a more rounded and credible challenger for the Euro sceptic vote at the five yearly Euro Elections, that is it.

If you want a vehicle to take power then it is not UKIP. If you just want to make a bit of a splash, then they may serve a purpose.

SECTARIAN

In many ways if you combined the political activist savvy found in the BNP at its height with UKIP you would have a dream ticket but that ain’t going to happen.

UKIP is determined to go it alone. It officially bans ex-BNP members from joining. This is understandable in many ways. UKIP thinks it has made the grade and this status would be compromised if it was tainted by the influx of ex-BNPers. The BNP is a toxic brand and it is quite true to say that anyone with BNP associations will be tarnished to a degree.

Whatever might be the case, it is a bullet that UKIP will not bite. They have got to a reasonable size without BNPers and don’t want to risk losing their respectable tag. I would suggest that if they had quietly accepted sensible BNPers then it would not in fact have done them any harm at all. Notwithstanding the BNP’s tarnished image, the media and the public quite accept that many normal and decent people were in the BNP. After all the energetic campaigns that prevailed up to about 2009 exposed a large part of the population to the BNP and this exposure was not always negative. I do not believe for a second that involvement in the BNP per se is regarded as being damning. UKIP have shown themselves to be too timid and jumpy for their own good.

I know that some ex-BNP people have joined UKIP and are tolerated so long as they sit quietly. This is not exactly a mutually beneficial arrangement as the only benefit UKIP would get is if they absorbed the activist spirit and know how that was found within the BNP up until a few years ago.

The other problem that the few isolated BNPers will experience within UKIP is that it is too big and unwieldy to help. Due to the successes UKIP has achieved it will be unresponsive to know-it-alls who come in and say ‘Oh no – do it this way’. Organisationally it will be set in its ways.

IS UKIP A NATIONALIST ORGANISATION?

While it is true to say that most UKIP voters are motivated by patriotic impulses and most UKIP members will be nationalistic, I am not so sure that UKIP can organisationally be regarded as nationalist. They have no real cultural dimension (unlike in the English Democrats for example).

In many ways it is statist party. The very term ‘United Kingdom’ grates with me and always has. It strikes me that a nationalist would never use that term to describe their party. The term could apply to any ‘United Kingdom’. The term is not reflective of the land or people. The 'English Democrats', for example, is a ‘people’ term.

The statist nature of UKIP is underlined by its refusal to accept devolution in Wales and Scotland and its opposition to an English Parliament. UKIP is very much an old fogey party that finds it difficult to move with the times. The nature of the Union has changed. Any political party that fails to recognise that is pretty much doomed.

I know a few people in UKIP are desperate to head off the growing momentum behind the English Democrats and are making noises about recognising the need for an English Parliament but that won’t affect the overall statist construction of UKIP and its one-trick pony Euro obsession.

Similarly UKIP is too timid to take the bull by the horns and talk about immigration beyond a little rattling of sabres during certain by-elections, in the manner of the old Conservative Party.

This can be seen as a reaction to old skule traditional nationalism causing that whole area of politics to be too hot to handle. It has almost the case that if any politician mentions immigration in a negative manner then they feel they will be tarred with the NF-BNP brush along with mental images of rowdy marches, bovver boys, hate–filled remarks, aggressive sloganising and stiff right arm salutes. One of the legacies of decades of inappropriate behaviour from with the ranks of old skule nationalism is that this is the prevailing image associated with political opposition to immigration. UKIP are utterly unable to face this down.

OUTFLANKED?

It is sometimes said that if the Conservatives adopt the English Democrat policy for an English Parliament then the English Democrats would cease to exist. This is hardy the case as the English Democrats also have a firm policy for encouraging England’s cultural identity, it opposes immigration, it firmly opposes membership of the European Union and so forth. Should the Conservatives do all these things then maybe there would be no point in the EDs existing, but then the objectives would have been achieved anyway!

In any case, has the creation of the Welsh Assembly resulted in a fall in support for Plaid Cymru? No! Since the Welsh Assembly was created their vote has risen.

But what chance is there that the Conservatives will support an English Parliament? Virtually none.

One of the founding principals of the liberal state is to deny Englishness at every turn. The English liberal ascendancy fears and loathes, in equal measure, its own English identity. That what you have to understand before you can grasp the nature of British politics. Yes I used the term British deliberately. That is why the English are actually the poor relation in this Union.

The Conservative Party is a fully paid up member of that liberal ascendancy. They have, at least since the last war, governed as such.

Similarly UKIP would effectively, and more certainly, ceased to exist were the Conservatives to adopt a policy for the withdrawal of Britain from the European Union. Frankly I think there is no realistic chance of this happening although they may make noises about re-negotiating the treaty or about holding a referendum on some issue or another. Remember the Conservatives are part and parcel of the liberal ascendancy. The liberal ascendancy is wedded to the European dream.

It is as likely that the Conservatives will ever stop immigration. They will make an occasional noise but do nothing about it. Anyone who seriously thinks this is a fantasist.

ACCOUNTABLE

The other thing about UKIP is that it is essentially a top down party. It is run in an autocratic manner by Nigel Farage. There are regular bouts of internal tension and complaints about heavy handed behaviour with the UKIP party centre regularly overriding local decisions. While UKIP’s internal leadership election in 2010 was run in a fairly legitimate manner – particularly compared to the corrupt process Nick Griffin put in place at the same time in the BNP (OK that isn’t saying much as Nick Griffin is a master at corrupting the BNP’s internal democratic process) – there is a major problem in UKIP with respect to democratic accountability.

Because the age structure of UKIP is so old (there is no other way of putting it) and non activist based, Farage and co can get away with his this level of authoritarianism. In a vibrant and youthful party – as any party that really challenges for power must be - this will be a major problem. Authoritarianism stifles initiative.

By comparison the English Democrats are a bottom up party. Most power is invested in branches, counties and regions. There is a very high degree of local autonomy and complete local financial independence. Its internal structure is ideally suited for rapid and dynamic growth.

CONCLUSION

In short, UKIP have had ample opportunity since 1999 to make real progress and shake the establishment. It has consistently failed to do this. There is absolutely no reason to suppose that it could ever do it. There are absolutely no signs that it can. It will almost certainly remain as a large anti-European pressure group that makes a name for itself every five years. It will retain that position until a credible year-round party comes along that is also opposed to our continued membership of the European Union.

The British National Party was never able to do this due to the excess baggage that it was burdened with. A sensible party that is in tune with the modern age can. It is not certain that success will be achieved. Nothing is certain. However we can be pretty sure that UKIP faces an unbreakable glass ceiling. Effort must be put into building an organisation which, while it might be currently smaller and less significant, has the latent potential to grow and surpass its rivals.

That party is the English Democrats.

WHO’S THE PREDATOR AND WHO’S THE PREY?

From being a political predator the BNP has become the cornered prey. It’s strength has waned. It is like a rotting half dead animal that is being eaten alive inch by inch, picked over by more vital creatures.

A few year’s ago, as a political party the BNP was in the ascendant. It consistently posted a series of good by-election results as it contested more and more by-elections in many previously virgin territories. For several years the BNP averaged over 15% in these local by-elections. The Labour Party were beaten by the BNP in the Henley Parliamentary by-election. In the yearly round of local elections literally hundreds of BNP candidates stood with full slates put up in many local authorities. The BNP got someone elected to the Greater London Assembly and two MEPs elected to the European Parliament.

These are the benchmarks by which ‘normal’ political parties are judged.

It has however been downhill ever since then.

The fundamental reason is that the inherent weaknesses and contradictions that exist within a fringe and unnecessarily ‘extreme’ party came home to roost.

The BNP never shook off its ‘far far right’ legacy. It had positioned itself on the margins of society and attracted far too many fringe players and not enough people who were grounded and ‘normal’. Hence when push came to shove it could not respond. Collectively it was unable to recognise the corrupt nature of the Nick Nick Griffin regime and take the necessary action.

Obviously some individuals did and these individuals did at different times. But collectively the BNP did not.

The decay has been all too obvious ever since the General Election in May 2010.

Let’s examine some tangible examples.

In the Oldham East and Saddleworth by-election, held in January 2011, the BNP polled 4.5% compared to 5.7% in the 2010 General Election (itself something of a low point compared to previous years). That is a decline of over 21%.

In the Barnsley Central by-election, held in March 2011, the BNP polled 6.0% compared to 8.9% in the General Election. That is a decline of over 32%.

In the May 2011 Scottish Parliamentary Election the BNP polled 0.8% of the vote compared to 1.2% in 2007. That is a decline of over 33%.

In the May 2011 Welsh Assembly Election the BNP polled 2.4% of the vote compared to 4.3% in 2007. That is a decline of over 44%.

In the Feltham and Heston by-election, held in December 2011, the BNP polled 2.3% of the vote compared to 3.5% in the General Election. That is a decline of over 34%.

The local election results have been even more appalling.

This remorseless and uninterrupted decline points to one thing this May and one thing only.

Defeat and the loss of the BNP’s nominal seat on the Greater London Assembly.

You need to get over 5% of the vote across London to get a GLA member elected. In 2008 the BNP polled 5.3%. It scraped over the finish line at a time when the BNP was near its peak in terms of electoral support, when there were active branches all over London that regularly contested local by-elections and the BNP had elected councillors in three boroughs.

Now the BNP has a couple of active units, no councillors, and its occasional forays into electoral politics has led to humiliation.

A decline of 20% in the BNP’s vote – which is a smaller diminution than that experienced by the BNP in any major election since 2010 – will result in the BNP getting just 4.2% and obviously no GLA member.

A more likely decline of 35% will see the BNP poll just 3.4% across London.

THE PHANTOM TEXTER OF OLD LONDON TOWN

The BNP could only muster eleven activists from across London today and they were mightily proud of that number. That was the message that went out today from the ‘Truth Truck’ which should be renamed the 'Text Truck', as I understand that it was used as a base from which to send frantic text messages while the ‘day of action’ was in progress in Romford. A full 2,300 leaflets were supposedly delivered while the texting was in progress. In the run up to the 2008 Greater London Assembly Election the effort was ten times greater and still the BNP only just scrapped home.

FIRING BLANKS

Furthermore these leaflets are falling on stoney ground. The BNP is now an utterly toxic brand. The BNP London campaign is politically impotent, it is firing blanks. It is also organisationally inept as all the experienced and capable officers have left. The efforts of those that remain are utterly inadequate.

Inadequate, inept, impotent. The dreaded three I’s.

Those that remain in office bend over backwards to please Nick Nick Griffin. It is a political form of being Gay for pay. Except there will be no pay!

A PEST?

Oh, I know they will think I am a terrible pest for reminding them of this, but it is the simple truth.

But I will carry on being a pest, as there are still some people who need to be saved.

They may think that it is admirable to hang in there in a fake show of stoicism. However it is not an admirable trait to be devoid of external signs of being affected by pain or distress. We feel pain as a warning against further suffering. Needless suffering.

SENSIBLE PROTECTION

I don’t want to leave people without hope – unprotected from the trials and tribulations of life.

To keep vital they say we should all have five-a-day, or is it six? I forget. But we are not talking about vegetables here, we are talking politics.

The political equivalent of the healthy five-a-day are the sensible policies of the English Democrats.

The golden key, the answer to our political problems, is held by the English Democrats.

I pointed out some time ago that there would not be any sensible alternative to the English Democrats for anyone who wants to do something credible in nationalist politics. There simply is not and will not be anything else.

You have however to get your head around two simple things.

Firstly, the nature of the Union has changed and is changing. There is devolved government in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The English Democrats firmly support the creation of an English Parliament. It does not favour independence for England. It supports a devolved assembly for England and a federal structure for the British Isles that will in fact renew and strengthen the intrinsic unity of these islands. The imbalance that now exists is to England’s detriment. It will be the cause of increasing resentment if this problem is not addressed. Scotland, under Alex Salmond’s SNP government is in any case is actively weakening the Union and may present England with a fait accompli.

Secondly, the English Democrats' policy is to call a halt to inward migration and to expel illegals. It supports the preservation of our English cultural identity and will act vigorously to defend and nurture this. Those who hanker after a ‘stronger’ racial or ethnic policy are living in cloud cuckoo land. At a time when inward migration is set to expand our population by 50% in a couple of decades and when ‘old style’ nationalism has delivered a crushing collapse, it is unrealistic to hanker after more. This is also recognised by parties such as the Front National under Marine Le Pen, the Austrian Freedom party and the Flemish separatists, the Vlaams Belang.

So to get involved with the English Democrats (the only nationalist party that has seen any increase in its votes in elections since 2010) ,as I sincerely hope that every sensible nationalist will, you just have to accept and support these things. The only way to save our country from destruction is to follow this path.

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON ENGLAND

Sometimes I get a good feeling, yes, I get a feeling that I never never knew, never had before, no no, I get a good feeling, yes.

Yes I have a feeling in my bones that we will witness interesting things.

Firstly my apologies for going AWOL again on this blog. I have been busy lately doing something else that has absorbed my time.

But back to these interesting things… I’m not talking about little things such as poor old Moobs (as he is known) getting ready to pack up after, what? A year and half? What commitment, what involvement.

This is what happens though when people feel a sense of entitlement – entitlement to a share of the bankroll.

I have been involved in this business for well over 30 years. During nearly all that time the movement was as poor as a collective of church mice.

There has always been a degree of ‘graft’ at the top, where paid officials topped up low wages with expenses claims and back handers. Indeed the low wages and long hours often caused the paid staff to feel that it was quite legitimate for them to harvest receipts in order to make expenses claims. After all they knew that the bequests that were left to the cause, but invariably made out to a personal name of ‘someone or another’ rather than to a party name, usually went straight into that ‘someone’s’ back pocket.

The closer you got to the heart of the cause, the blacker you realised it was.

I was a volunteer and I never claimed expenses even from my branch or region, and never so far as I can recall, from a branch or region I had to visit in the course of my voluntary work. That was how it was not just for me. It was a privilege to serve. It was a privilege to be a senior officer. Most volunteer activists and officers were willing to give up all their spare time, their holidays, and a big slice out of their earnings for the cause.

The expenses door started opening in the late 2000s I would say. The campaign to get someone elected to the Greater London Assembly led to a dramatic spread of the expenses culture. The BNP’s lead candidate Richard Barnbrook was an expenses fanatic. Other activists looked on enviously and inevitably some copied. Then, when Richard Barnbrook was elected, there was an undignified scramble by people to get on the payroll. There was a budget for staff!

This was followed by the European Elections and an even bigger payroll and an even bigger scramble.

I was unwise enough to give up a very secure and well-paid job and work for the party, in and out of Europe. Contrary to claims made by my shrinking band of Griffinite enemies, I only claimed a fraction of the expenses that I was potentially due.

As I say, the closer you are to the heart, the blacker you realise it is and I didn’t last long on the payroll. It was barely eight months before the rotting stench became too apparent – and I like to think that I am cynical and hard nosed enough to absorb and work through such things. But I determined to make a stand and the rest is history. Actually the BNP is history as collectively it failed to purge the rot when it had the chance and you only get one chance in this life. I left without even claiming my back expenses – which were considerable.

But the consequence is that precious few people will work for Nick Nick without being paid. Even if they have only been in the BNP for ten minutes, they want their dosh before they are willing to do anything. Hence Moobs is feeling bitter at his lack of remuneration and is looking to the door.

Talking of which I see that Dave Hannam’s self serving resignation statement has surfaced from September 2010. It is genuine in my opinion.

I know of a handful of people who fear to admit that they are flogging a dead horse. It is the only horse they know about and do not have the imagination to look elsewhere.

Oh – those interesting things? You will know when it happens. Then even the unimaginative dead horse floggers will realise the futility of their endeavours. They already know actually but they try and push it to the backs of their minds and carry on regardless. That way leads to grievous disappointment. That is the iron law of nature. It is inevitable.

A belated Happy New Year to all the readers of this blog – even those remaining ‘hostiles’ who are strangely mesmerised by my words… and deeds.

I have not posted much lately as I had an accident with this laptop not long before Christmas and spilt a load of coffee over it! I only just got it back – almost in one piece - and in the meantime I have had to use old semi-functional laptops or borrow that of one of my collaborators.

Normal service is now resumed!

Like perhaps a benign werewolf mauling its prey. All in the best possible taste of course.

More people to subvert from the forces of darkness, more to inject with the serum of truth. More people to save from bondage to the vile incubus. Yes that’s the right word for him, incubus.

THE SECRET ESTATE AGENT

I would like to take this opportunity to clear up a misapprehension that is doing the rounds in some quarters.

I used to work for the City of London Corporation for nearly twenty years - in their accounts department. It was actually quite a good job and I foolishly gave it up to work for a degraded and craven wretch who I hoped, vaingloriously, that I could influence in a more honourable direction.

Although this curl knew that I had worked in local government for a long time (actually he is a shockingly ignorant individual and persisted in thinking I was a civil servant which is something altogether different) he was happy to employ me as he no doubt thought I would be useful to him.

This of course did not stop him, when the inevitable fall out occurred, from putting it about that as I had worked in local government unmolested for 20 years, then I must have been protected by the state and therefore be a state agent.

Actually during my time there, until just before I left anyway, I didn’t stand in local elections or do media work, in order to retain my anonymity.

The question arises. How many state agents are forced to work in boring desk jobs for twenty years while simultaneously being employed to infiltrate an ‘extremist’ party? None. That would be a punishment rather than a reward. They are always given difficult to verify non existent occupations - like the policeman who infiltrated and fornicated his way through the far left. He said he was an outward bound extreme sports instructor. I guess in a way he was.

Or they have bogus businesses that they never have to attend to. Supposed offices and empty work units.

Then I got to thinking. Before going to work at the Corporation of London (which incidentally is the most reactionary and old fashioned of all local authorities and only started getting into Equal Opportunities in the early 2000s) I was an estate agent. I sold and rented properties in the East End – being based in Bethnal Green.

I was an estate agent – not a state agent!

Do you see how easy it is to start a rumour?

JOHN RYDE

I was very sad to hear about the death of John Ryde just before New Years Day. He was an excellent chap and I was pleased to have his unwavering support during last year’s troubles. I knew he had been ill for some time. He is sitting next to me in this picture, taken last year. I remember it was our second breakfast of the day!

He was an honest and honourable man.

A YEAR TO LOOK FORWARD TO

This year will see the English Democrats make great strides ahead. I knew from the outset that there would be no realistic prospect of any new credible party being formed and making any headway. This will be the year when it becomes obvious that the EDs are the way ahead. Sensible, moderate, credible, achievable.

It is time to look around, smell the coffee and accept that this is the case. The BNP is on a remorseless downward spiral. It is going to be hit by some dreadful hammer blows.

And while waiting for these big bombs to land what is the ‘leadership’ doing? They are obsessed with waging internal factional war. All their pitifully inadequate efforts are focused internally, within the wider movement, not on promoting the views they sometimes claim to hold.

I am pleased to know that they are still fixated with little old me. Awww how touching.

Nick Nick, Rizzle Kicks and Patsy - keep trying. Don’t give up yet. But do yourselves a favour, get your tin hats on.

A WINTER’S TALE

The last time the favoured and fair land of the English lay under the heel of a conquering invader was nearly a thousand years ago.

Following the disaster at Hastings the Normans held this land in their mailed fist. The English did not submit meekly. The castles that are visited by our families on bank holidays stand as a testament to the simmering rebelliousness that persisted for centuries. They are a lasting symbol of military oppression.

Being a kind and forgiving people this scar has totally healed and the battlemented ruins are now curiosities. The grudges have been buried under centuries of unrivalled and unparalleled English success and progress in all fields of human endeavour.

But it is well to remember.

The rebellions against the Norman invader were hard fought. Many heroic deeds were done. None more so than those performed by Hereward, who came from the eastern fens. But this story isn’t about Hereward, although there is a connection, it is about one of his allies - Waltheof. While Hereward is a semi mystical and legendary figure, Waltheof’s life was well recorded.

In 1066 Waltheof was just a teenager and had been given the small earldoms of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire. He was judged too young to govern his ancestral earldom of Northumbria as it was one of the most important and difficult to govern parts of Anglo-Saxon England.

After William of Normandy’s victory at Hastings in 1066, most of the surviving English nobles, including Waltheof, submitted, although he was kept under close scrutiny at court.

However in 1069 he broke away and joined a revolt that was led by Hereward. York was captured and most Normans in Northumbria were put to the sword. But some Englishmen had sided with the Normans, mainly as a result of local political intrigue. Northumbria was notorious for feuding and infighting.

Waltheof’s great grandfather, Uhtred, Earl of Northumbria had been murdered in 1016 by a rival, Thurbrand the Hold. Thurbrand was probably was a major landowner in the Holderness area of East Yorkshire. Thurbrand in turn was killed by Uhtred’s son Ealdred. Thurbrand’s son Carl killed Ealdred in 1038. Ealdred was Waltheof’s grandfather.

Thurbrand’s descendents sided with the Normans and when the English patriots captured York they took revenge on their own traitors. Thurbrand’s family suffered in particular.

However, the English rebels were not very united. William of Normandy marshalled his forces and swept north. The rebels melted away and William laid waste to Northumbria in revenge.

Waltheof made terms and in 1070 was given William the Conqueror’s Norman niece Judith as his wife. This was an attempt to bind the remaining English nobility into the new regime. In tie him further William gave Waltheof his rightful earldom of Northumbria in 1072.

This led to the feud with Thurbrand’s descendents reigniting and in 1074 and two of Carl’s sons were killed by Waltheof’s men. This was the background to a conspiracy involving some Norman earls in 1075. Waltheof was implicated by his own wife in this plot. Waltheof denied it but was executed by William nevertheless in 1076. It seems that he was the victim of intrigue by his enemies.

Waltheof was buried in Crowland Abbey, near Peterborough. His shrine became a place of pilgrimage, no doubt as a symbol of English resistance and visitors were miraculously healed of their ailments. As a result Waltheof became a local saint.

One of Waltheof’s daughters married King David I of Scotland and through that line the Kings and Queens of England are descended.

It is probable that Waltheof’s connection to Huntingdonshire led to the later legend that Robin Hood, another later freedom fighter against the Norman invasion, was the true Earl of Huntingdon.

But Waltheof’s ancestry also offers a fascinating insight into the history of the English.

Waltheof’s grandfather Ealdred, the one who was murdered by Carl, had a daughter called Aelfflaed. She married the renowned Siward, who was appointed by the great King Canute as Earl of Northumbria in the mid 1030s.

Siward was nicknamed Digre, meaning the Stout or Strong. Siward features in Shakespeare’s play Macbeth and he defeated the Scots in 1054 at the Battle of the Seven Sleepers or the Battle of Dunsinane. His eldest son Osbeorn Bulax was killed at Dunsinane and Siward famously hoped that all his wounds were to the front.

Siward died in 1055 but Waltheof was too young as we have seen to take up his position as Earl of Northumbria, which was his right through descent from both Siward and Uhtred.

Siward was an outstanding warrior and was of Danish origin. England in the early 11th century was a rich mixture of the earlier Anglo-Saxons and more recent Danish settlers.

Both were of similar stock. The Angles, from whom the name England derives, came from Angeln which is in northern Schleswig, right on the border of present day Denmark. The Jutes, another one of the earlier Germanic tribes to settle England at the fall of the Roman Empire came from Jutland – which is the major part of mainland Denmark. The Saxons came from northern Germany, just below Denmark. The Danish settlement in the Viking period was little more than a continuation of the earlier migrations.

THE FAIRY BEAR

To the Vikings the most feared natural danger was the bear. Particularly the white bear – the Polar Bear that they came across when they ranged to the far north.

The bear was feared for its strength, viciousness and intelligence. To fight and kill a bear, particularly a Polar Bear, was regarded as an act that required almost superhuman strength. The most feared warriors in the northland were called berserkers and they wore the skin of a bear in combat. The most treasured possession of Crowland Abbey were twelve white bearskins. Hereward’s first act of bravery was to kill a Polar Bear that had escaped from its cage and was menacing a young beautiful princess called Alftruda who he met on his travels in Ghent and who he went on to marry.

The bear loomed large in the tales of our ancestors.

Now Siward was the son of Beorn Bearsson. Beorn Bearsson being the offspring of the union between a fairy or magical white bear and a Danish princess!

Siward by repute had pointed ears, this being the mark of the bear. Waltheof being his son was also of the house of the bear. That was a thousand years ago. The blood line of that union has been diluted but the signs are still there.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS

I went to the Christmas Eve midnight mass at North Weald Church, just down the road from where I live in the wonderful county of Essex. As they say – The Only Way Is Essex!

North Weald was the home to a major Royal Air Force base during the last war. The churchyard contains the war graves of a number of RAF personnel together with a poignant group of very young soldiers from the Essex Regiment. Nine men were killed on 24th August 1940 when the Luftwaffe bombed the airfield. Eight of them are buried in North Weald Churchyard.

The actual service that I attended was very High Church – almost bordering on Roman Catholic. For my blood there was too much bending down and getting up, waving of arms, scattering of incense and responses were expected to be recited by the congregation. It was a nice service, with a good politically incorrect sermon, but I prefer things to be kept simpler.

The other morning, after some Christmas festivities, I was walking past Hyde Park Corner when I noticed the ‘Winter Wonderland’ – a special Christmas themed market with ice skating and so forth. Just as I went to take a closer look who should I see appear? Rolf Harris!

I’ve always quite liked the cut of Rolf Harris’s jib. He is a throw back to those nostalgic days when Australia and Britain had a really close bond. He also has always struck me as being a thoroughly decent bloke. When he was spotted by Regents Park on this morning, he waited patiently, cracking jokes, while numerous families posed next to him to have their picture taken.

He is a good egg.

ANOTHER GOOD RESULT FOR THE ENGLISH DEMOCRATS

A few days ago the English Democrats scored yet another good election result. Things are starting to look up. Indeed, besides UKIP, who throw tens of thousands of pounds into its electoral efforts for relatively little return on their investment pound for pound, the only nationalist party to have made any headway at all since the General Election has been the English Democrats.

The by-election took place in the Birchills Leamore ward of Walsall in the West Midlands. The result was as follows:

Labour – 835 votes (53.8%)
Conservative – 512 votes (32.4%)
Chris Newey English Democrats – 130 votes (8.2%)
UKIP – 59 votes (3.7%)
Green – 46 votes (2.9%)

I don’t believe the English Democrats have ever challenged for this ward before. However as a point of interest the BNP contested a by-election in this ward when it was near its peak in 2008 and only polled 5.2%.

Well done to all concerned. We have much to look forward to in the new year!

DOWNFALL IN FELTHAM

An ex-Organisers view.

This account of the Feltham and Heston by-election was sent to me by a long term West London nationalist that I know well for a long time. It makes interesting reading and I publish it here to stimulate debate.

The Feltham and Heston by-election result for the BNP is a bigger disaster for the party in London than the loss of all its Barking council seats in May 2010.

Given the ongoing, indeed exponential, change in demographics across London, the Feltham result indicates the removal of the opportunity even under proportional representation, for the BNP on the Greater London Assembly.

There are London boroughs where the indigenous, and may I say fellow traveller, population is already of a proportion too small to achieve even influential votes at Parliamentary level for a party with even the more noble aims of the BNP. Obvious examples being Brent, Newham and Tower Hamlets. It was thus recognised at least 6 years ago, that the way to gain any influence was through the PR route to the GLA.

This route could not be achieved through the gaining of a bloc of councillors in any one borough, but required a steady vote across the outer London boroughs that had not changed as much as inner London. Thus in a borough such as Hounslow, of which the Feltham and Heston constituency is part, a PR vote of perhaps 5-8% was a realistic target, with the likes for example of Barking, Havering and Bexley returning a higher percentage, and Ealing ,Harrow and Richmond lower. This strategy was called the doughnut, the type with a ring not jam in the middle!

The strategy relied on targeting the borough wards most likely to be responsive.

I was not aware of any effective BNP organisation in Hounslow before 2005, although the borough had seen other nationalist groups organising there in the 1970's and 1980's. In fact the only BNP organisation in West London had been destroyed by the Chairman about 2004. That was the Hillingdon Group where the key players were removed over the matter of selling their own locally sourced t-shirts!

From the summer of 2005 just 2 new members set about re-starting and organising the party in West London. In a remarkably short space of time Nick Eriksen had risen from Richmond to London Organiser and I had become West and North London Sub Regional Organiser. Decent and talented people appeared from almost nowhere and suddenly there were unique and active groups in the boroughs of Hounslow, Kingston, Richmond, Ealing, Hillingdon and Hammersmith. Each group held regular meetings and leafleting and canvassing sessions as well as table-top sessions in local high streets. When there was an activity there were always members from other local groups assisting. There was cross fertilisation of activity and organisation. There was always one if not two social activities each month in West London. Local knowledge was increasing too.

The zenith for Feltham and West London was May 2010. Despite losing the Hillingdon Organiser at the last minute we were able to continue to plan. I switched into that role because the Hounslow team where now so well practiced that they really did not need me there. That really is achievement when a manager or leader realises that the team can be left to act almost autonomously. There were many council candidates attracting up to a thousand votes and the 3.54% achieved on the Feltham parliamentary was an achievement against a background of a campaign hindered by a lack of head office support e.g. advertising hoardings (it was always sickening to see the UKIP hoardings in the area when we had none), and negative publicity resulting from the Chairman’s false claims of death threats against him. Indeed from the weekly campaigning that had taken place over the preceding three years, and with an excellent candidate in Jon Donnelly, it is not unreasonable to say that without the BNP Chairman’s effect the BNP long campaign could reasonably have returned 6%.

It is noteworthy that this was not a one off fair result in Feltham. In the adjoining constituency of Hayes and Harlington I polled 3.6% with a smaller team of party workers and with a shorter campaign. There were excellent council election results in Hillingdon with our candidates not ahead of just independents and Greens but also the Lib Dems!

Whilst there had been an excellent Hillingdon Organiser in Mike James, more work had gone into Feltham. However the Hayes result too would almost certainly have been over 5%, but an ex-BNP nationalist stood against me under another banner simply, in his words, "not against you but against Griffin".

There were good results following workmanlike campaigns in other parts of West London too.

Despite the 2010 West London votes being lower than they should have been, the BNP was still well placed for the 2012 GLA elections.

However after the General Election elementary questions regarding party finances clearly threatened the Chairman’s permanent position and so all London Officers received a text from Head Office. In fact Jefferson, whatever his capacity was, sent the text. The text simply said that all London Officers were no longer officers until further notice.

Subsequently there was a meeting in a member’s home in North London where the Chairman decided who the London Officers would be. The only invites to the meeting were for those that the Chairman considered too gullible, naive or stupid to ask questions about party finances. In ascertaining which members might be completely gullible, thus loyal even to the most appalling leadership, the Chairman was ably assisted by the most pathetic and shabby permanent raincoat wearing element in the London membership. Obviously I was one of those not invited to the meeting and that was the end of my active involvement with the party.

In effect the Chairman called a few people together and said:

"You select few can continue at playing BNP but only as long as you accept that I am not accountable to anyone".

He thus met the need of those who want to feel that they are doing something regardless of cost and/or futility.

What we find in the last 18 months of the once impressive West London BNP is this. One or two meetings in Hounslow, none in Kingston, Richmond or Ealing, one in Hammersmith. No social activity. No regular weekly leafleting anywhere. No production of local newsletters. No communication to local members and supporters by email, text, phone or post.

This is why the Feltham set back is worse than the loss of the Barking council seats. It represents evidence of the total breakdown of effective organisational structure within London BNP. The inability to mobilise local members and supporters, to have regular visits from neighbouring groups and/or to have 20 visitors helping once from Merton, then Croydon, then Andy McBride visiting with 20 South East helpers. Inablity to canvass key areas.

Inability to make super human efforts. If this by election had been 4 years ago then the Mayoral and lead GLA candidate would have been in Feltham every day for a month before polling day. I am not a fan of Richard Barnbrook, on the contrary I am his greatest critic (I hope), but it cannot be denied that on most occasions he worked manically when the cause demanded it. Was the current Mayoral candidate in Feltham most days before polling day? Of course to make such an effort requires belief, and there is no longer anything left to believe in the Chairman’s words or the achievability of the party message.

In fact there was an inability to address even one local issue, the concept of literature addressing local as well as national hopes and aspirations has disappeared with the most talented activists. Even the UKIP literature managed one local issue to campaign on.

To cap it all, Feltham has all the factors for a BNP message to be well received. The engineering jobs have largely moved on. Though some remain relating to Heathrow Airport it is notable that the former Spitfire factory site is now a cinema-bowling-fast food location. The area is characterised by rising unemployment in a blue collar area that retains much of its council estate housing. Adjoining Hounslow is openly Islamic. Saturday sees Islamists preaching in the high street alongside the SWP in the spot that Gospel preachers once enjoyed. There are long housing waiting lists for the children of the dispossessed majority. There is compulsory enrichment, concern over crime, etc.

Feltham was potentially the BNP's Barking of the west.

It was the hope of West London, now it is the death knell sounding.

Now Feltham, call it Hounslow or West London if you like, is just an example to show that most London BNP groups cannot do what they were doing between 2005-10. It is evidence that there is no longer the organisation, membership, expertise, enthusiasm or belief necessary to get even one representative on the GLA. Last time it was obvious that polling boxes were tampered with between the poll and the count in order to reduce the BNP vote, this time it will not be necessary.

The BNP are on target for a 2012 GLA top up vote of only 2.5%, just ahead of the English Democrats and 3.5% behind UKIP. There would be greater wisdom in the remaining BNP active members doing nothing rather than wasting time AND MONEY, and regrouping in some way than throwing money at a BNP GLA campaign denied positive branding and head office investment.

Never before, in the history of politics, have the hopes of so many been dashed by so few.

ENGLISH DEMOCRATS EASTERN REGION SOCIAL

The Eastern Region of the English Democrats held its Christmas dinner on Saturday 17th December in St Albans. It was an excellent event that sold out and as a result people had to be refused tickets. The guest of honour was the EDs Chairman Robin Tilbrook. Although it was primarily a social event, nearly £2,000 was raised towards the ED’s Hertfordshire election campaigns in 2012.

I was pleased to be able to propose a toast at the event to the English Democrats.

I understand that the BNP’s Eastern Region Christmas social was held at the same time in a dingy south Essex pub and it attracted six people.

ELECTION NIGHT

There were a couple of interesting by-elections held last night.

FELTHAM AND HESTON

The one that attracted most attention was the Parliamentary by-election in Feltham and Heston, but the media largely ignored even this contest and the turn-out was very low. There was little interest as it is a fairly safe Labour seat. Having said that the Conservatives controlled it for a period in the mid 1980s, although the demographics have changed since then.

In the 2010 General Election the BNP contested this seat and obtained 3.5% of the poll and 1,714 votes. At that time there would have been a good chance of a saved deposit in Feltham and Heston had Nick Griffin not stabbed the Party in the back by running off to the police and the world’s media like a cur dog with his phoney tale of threats to kill him.

This was the result in the by-election:

Labour - 12, 639 votes (54.4%)
Conservative – 6,436 votes (27.7%)
Liberal Democrats – 1,364 votes (5.9%)
UKIP – 1,276 votes (5.5%)
BNP – 540 votes (2.3%)
Green – 426 votes (1.8%)
English Democrats (Roger Cooper) – 322 votes (1.4%)
London People Before Profit – 128 votes (0.6%)
Bus-Pass Elvis Party – 93 votes (0.4%)

The BNP vote collapsed by over 50% in percentage terms, despite (or perhaps partly due to) putting great store in having its dilapidated ‘Truth Truck’ chug around the constituency for nearly a week.

I believe the BNP are patting themselves on their backs because they got about 40% more votes than the English Democrats.

This is the first time the EDs have contested this seat and put minimal resources into the campaign - just to get the name out there. The ED result isn’t too bad at all bearing this in mind.

In a campaign where the ability of a minor party to ‘sell itself’ is minimal, it is obvious that a party with greater name recognition, even a terribly tarnished and toxic name, will tend to get more votes than an unknown quantity. In this election the EDs were an unknown quantity. In such contests the BNP’s name recognition will carry it through. The BNP should have got at least three or four times the EDs vote here, not just 40% more.

However the BNP has no ability to garner greater levels of support from the silent majority even if it had the nous or ability to campaign thoroughly. Its image is irredeemably broken. It is stuck in a rut.

The only reason the BNP were mentioned at all in the news following the declaration of this result was to draw attention to the fact that UKIP had overtaken them. This result will have ratcheted down the residual BNP hard core support base. They have developed the reputation with the public as being losers.

This result also amply demonstrates, as if it were necessary, that the BNP has absolutely no chance whatsoever of getting anyone elected to the GLA next year.

The BNP are the past.

Their predicament reminds me of the words of that Rolling Stones song (memorably covered by Chris Farlowe), ‘Out of Time’:

You don't know what's going on
You've been away for far too long
You can't come back and think you are still mine
You're out of touch, my baby
My poor discarded baby
I said, baby, baby, baby, you're out of time

You thought you were a clever girl
Giving up your social whirl
But you can't come back and be the first in line, oh no
You're obsolete my baby

Obsolete sums it up.

BILLERICAY

The last time the BNP contested an election in Basildon, was in July 2010, when they obtained only 4% in Nethermayne ward. In May 2010 the BNP had obtained 9% in this ward and 16% in 2008.

Everywhere the BNP vote is going in one direction –down.

Within Basildon, Billericay has always been difficult territory. For example in Billericay West the BNP polled just 3% in 2010 and 7% in 2008.

Basildon Branch of the BNP (which no longer exists) was very hard working at a time when the Eastern Region of the BNP was working like one of those well oiled machines. In September 2009 it contested a by-election for Billericay South West ward in Billericay Town Council. This is about half of the Basildon District Council Billericay West ward.

The result was curious as the Conservatives did not contest the election and this is a very strong area for the Conservatives. UKIP actually won as follows:

UK Independence Party – 480 votes (57%)
Labour – 266 votes (32%)
British National Party – 95 votes (11%)

Yesterday there was another by-election in Billericay South West Ward. This time the result was:

Conservatives - 365 votes (59.2%)
UKIP – 202 votes (32.7%)
English Democrats (Tony Gladwin) – 50 votes (8.1%)

The English Democrats at their first outing in this area did better than the BNP in 2008 and 2010. It was not far behind the BNP result in 2009 when the Conservatives did not contest the seat. Furthermore UKIP are entrenched there now as they have a local councillor.

The BNP local election results since the 2010 election have never been better than previous results. They have all been worse. Only the EDs have been able to buck this trend.

The Billericay result is quite interesting and shows what can be done with a little work. The local English Democrat activists did not run a super sophisticated campaign - it just consisted of a couple of leaflet drops. It shows that if the English Democrats manage to establish a bit of local identity then they can get reasonable votes. In fact this EDs result compares very favourably with that obtained by the BNP at its height. There is an overlap between those who voted for the BNP when it had a degree of popularity with those who would potentially vote for the EDs.

These two by-elections illustrate what I have been saying for some time.

In many ways the Billericay result tells us much more than Feltham and Heston. Local grassroots politics is the way ahead. The EDs can make real impact in that arena through implementing more sophisticated local tactics and it can make its distinctive brand of nationalism incredibly popular. By developing from the bottom up the EDs profile and name recognition will be steadily enhanced until in short order it will really start to take off.

The EDs are the future.

CHRISTMAS FUNCTIONS

I am pleased to hear that the English Democrats had an excellent Christmas luncheon in a highly prestigous location in the West End of London last Saturday. I couldn’t make it but we held a dinner in Loughton in Essex the same evening for local old friends.

Another dinner – the official Eastern Region fundraising event - is being held this Saturday in St Albans in Hertfordshire. The tickets are sold out and I understand that the guest of honour is to be the English Democrat Chairman Robin Tilbrook.

THE EMMA WEST CASE

Some people are saying that I should comment on the Emma West case. Emma West being the young woman from the Croydon area who was filmed making racist remarks on a tram.

This film was put on You Tube and as a result she was arrested. She had a child on her lap at the time and now both her children have been placed in care. She pleaded not guilty and is being held in prison on remand until the case is heard in January.

The courts claim that she is being locked up to protect her even though her family say there have been no threats. So what if she is found innocent in January? Will they keep her locked up in protective custody?

When the story broke, it was the top news item of the day. The news media fell over themselves with glee that she had been identified and arrested. This was repeated all day long. This seemed to me to be somewhat excessive.

I do not approve of people making racist remarks to other people and abusing people just because of who they are. Having said that, I am not such a hypocrite as to pretend that in private I have not used all sorts of ‘bad’ words about all sorts of things and people. I am an old fashioned kind of guy. These words were in common usage in my youth and I am conservative in my habits! But I recognize that it isn’t nice to say these words to someone as they are likely to be personally upset and I don’t think it’s right to be personally abusive against people (unless they individually deserve it I hasten to add). Nor does it do ‘the cause’ any favours to be seen to be boorish and ill mannered.

However this case causes me great unease. It perfectly illustrates that of all offences, in the eyes of the Anglo-Saxon liberal ascendency, ‘racism’ when it comes from a white person is the very worst crime. Worse than paedophilia. An escaped murderous paedophile would have been treated more sensitively by the news media than Emma West.

In the scheme of things, a woman making unkind, even hate filled remarks to other people on a tram is not much of a crime. It is the sort of thing that would in a normal society be regarded as a minor misdemeanour and would result in a fine, if found guilty, and a talking to by the Magistrate. Quick justice.

I have no idea what caused Emma West to make her outburst.

It could be that she is a hate filled individual.

It could be that she had been provoked before hand and that part wasn't filmed.

It could well be that she has mental health issues. Even the most embittered of hard line ‘racists’ tend to know what you can and can’t say in public and get away with.

As I don’t know the background, it is not really appropriate for me to comment further. I know that the news media and the courts would have taken these factors into account had the case involved anything other than racism. They would have treated a young and probably vulnerable mother of two with a whole lot more sensitivity.

OLD NICK NICK TROUNCED BY TEAM EDWARD

It is good to see that the EDs, a healthy and decent nationalist force, are steadily eclipsing the tired and corrupted remains of the old Empire of mad Nick Nick.

I am glad to have done my bit in bringing down this degraded tyrant. I warmly thank those that have helped me by providing information or helping me with my blog and Facebook page. As a result old Nick Nick is now the supreme ruler of an ever shrinking realm. He created what he thought was a palace but in reality it is his political tomb. In truth defeating him again and again has been made easy by his own stupidity.

He used to like to boast that if anyone ‘crossed’ him, then they would be ‘finished’ in nationalism. But the only one who is finished is old Nick Nick. With his hunched shoulders and shuffling gait he cuts a very sorry figure.

Have you noticed that Nick Nick has not arranged any European tours lately? Why do you think that might be? Is it because he is under investigation by the European corruption watchdog OLAF? Does it all stem back to that Cumbrian Flood trip when he laughably tried to ‘fit me up’ over the 10,000 Euros? Has it all back fired on the miserable fools head?

YES!

Poetic justice indeed. As they say, cheats never prosper. The man is a pathetic loser. Every strategy he attempts fails. He is the Dick Darstardly of politics. I can imagine him stomping around his Welshpool lair muttering ‘Drat, drat and double drat’, with Rizzle Kicks Jefferson adopting the role of the ever so slightly unfaithful Muttley.

Due to my exposure of his financial mismanagement, donations have all but dried up and approaching two thirds of the membership has quit. As a result, in a desperate attempt to make ends meet and extract what he can from the unsuspecting, old Nick Nick has been forced to drastically increase his personal party’s membership fees.

He is so desperate to get members that his daughter, Princess Jennifer, has even bombarded my various e-mail accounts with messages entreating me to rejoin! I was tempted for a nanosecond.

YPRES

I was lucky enough to be able to visit the First World War battlefield of Ypres recently.

Essex Farm cemetery contains the grave of Rifleman Strudwick, of The Rifle Brigade, who was killed in January 1916 aged just 15.

The Canadians took over this sector of the Ypres front in 1915 and his experiences there inspired John McCrae to write the following poem:

In Flanders Fields.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

To you from failing hands we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die

Although I have been there several times, Tyne Cot Cemetery remains a most moving site. It is the biggest British and Commonwealth War Cemetery in the world with nearly 12,000 graves. Over three quarters are unnamed.

The graves are laid out with military precision. It is difficult to comprehend what must have taken place in these fields nearly a hundred years ago.

Any visit to Ypres is incomplete without attending the evening Menin Gate ‘Last Post’ ceremony.

A FAIR WIND IN ESSEX

The English Democrats contested a by-election yesterday in the fair county of Essex. The ward was in the far south of the county, near Southend.

The result was as follows:

ROCHFORD DISTRCT COUNCIL - Rayleigh Central Ward

Cheryl Roe (Con) - 406 (54.8%)
John Hayter (English Democrats) - 218 (29.4%)
Elena Black (Liberal Democrat) - 117 (15.8%)

The English Democrats contested the ward for the first time in 2010 local elections that coincided with the General Election. Accordingly the turn out in 2010 was much higher. Here is the result from that contest:

Conservative - 1242 (54.7%)

Liberal Democrat - 702 (30.9%)
English Democrats - 328 (14.4%)

The English Democrats more than doubled its share of the vote. This is a remarkable achievement in a year and a half. The Lib Dems were also trounced.

I met the candidate briefly at a meeting a short time ago in Southend. He clearly knows his stuff. This shows what can be done.

When a party like the English Democrats contests elections, if the campaign is not prosecuted with extreme vigour then great things cannot be expected. The EDs are a relatively unknown entity. But if a good campaign is run then a good result will be on the cards.

This is quite unlike other parties, that will remain nameless, which may have a bigger hard core than a party such as the EDs as they have been established electorally for much longer. However this ‘hard core’ is diminishing and their ceiling is much lower than that which can be achieved by a party such as the English Democrats. However for the English Democrats to achieve this ceiling requires a lot of hard work directed in the right way. It can be done and this is our great task.

Well done to all concerned. It is good to see Essex leading the way.

Here’s a corridor. On the right you can see that a sheet of A4 paper wit writing on it has been stuck on the wall.

What is this strange document?

It is the declaration by the so-called 'Provisional Government of the Irish Republic', proclaiming the establishment of the Irish republic in 1916. It was issued during the failed Easter Rising, during the First World War, when various Irish Republican factions such as the Irish Volunteers stabbed Britain in the back and attempted an insurrection. The Irish Volunteers went on to become the IRA.
This proclamation is in effect a foundation document for the IRA.

What’s it doing on this particular wall?

It was put up there by Nick Griffin MEP. It can be found opposite his office in the Brussels European Parliamentary building. It has been there ever since he was elected in the summer of 2009. Many MEPs adorn the walls of the corridor opposite their office with political statements that they venerate, political posters or pictures from their homeland or region.

Here we can see the fixture again this time from the other direction. It can clearly be seen on the left hand wall and Nick Griffin MEP’s office name plate can be seen directly opposite it on the right hand side.

This does seem to be a strange choice of political statement for the supposed leader of a British Nationalist organisation to put up on his wall. And it is also the only statement which he wishes to make.

SOME VERY INTERESTING STATEMENTS BY ROBIN TILBROOK

Robin Tilbrook, the Chairman of the English Democrats has made some interesting statements recently.

states that a growing number of people regard themselves as English rather than British.

Furthermore it is a growing trend.

The number of Welsh or Scottish people who regard themselves as being Welsh or Scottish in preference to being British has remained static. However the number of English people, who prefer to label themselves as English rather than British has risen by over 50% in three years - from 41% in 2008 to 63% now. That is a staggering turn around.

If you look at the figures, more Scottish people regard themselves as being British than do English people.

Is there a difference between an average person who regards themselves as being English and one who thinks of themselves as being British?

This suggests that Moslems are more inclined to say they are British than the indigenous community. This is no doubt because identifying with Englishness implies a much deeper and richer cultural connection. Britain is a statist construction rather than a nation in the sense of it being ‘of a people’ and a culture. True Britain is a state that was historically built from closely related peoples, cultures and nations, but they are clearly distinct none the less.

It is incidentally in recognition of this separateness but also closeness that dictates the English Democrat policy for Home Rule all round and a federal structure for the British Isles. This will maintain our strengths while minimising the weaknesses which have historically bedevilled the relationships between the constituent parts of these islands.

It is entirely likely that the lion’s share of the 19% of the population who identify themselves as being British are from a non indigenous background. People whose religion, language and overall culture are very distinct from the native form found within England. Inevitably these people, the new British, will find it most strange conforming to and absorbing English culture. This will not be restricted to Moslems.

It is also the case that because these communities are now large and self contained, and are encouraged by the liberal multi-cultural state to remain distinct, it is entirely unlikely that they will ever become English. Indeed the liberal multi-cultural state only discourages one culture and that is that of the English! It is impossible that the liberal multi-cultural state will encourage the minorities to absorb English culture.

As time goes on, the only ‘Britishers’ will be the members of the ever growing migrant communities.

Robin has also submitted evidence to the Committee on Standards in Public Life on the consequences of state funding of political parties.

The committee was established by John Major in 1994:

To examine current concerns about standards of conduct of all holders of public office, including arrangements relating to financial and commercial activities, and make recommendations as to any changes in present arrangements which might be required to ensure the highest standards of propriety in public life.

Robin gave the horrific example of what has happened in Belgium. The Belgium state has used the rules governing state funding to persecute a political party that promotes Flemish separatism, namely the Vlaams Blok – lately the Vlaams Belang. The VB has a considerable following in the Flemish part of Belgium yet this has not inhibited the Belgium state from attempting to deprive the Vlaams Belang of state funding. The rules preclude the ability of political parties to raise finds privately. Accordingly if state funding is cut off a party cannot operate. This gives the state a potential stranglehold to kill off any parties of which it disapproves. The Belgian state – a so-called liberal democratic partner of ours in the European Union - has not hesitated to act in this manner.

Robin has warned that if you give these liberal tyrants the power then they will use it to crush legitimate political dissent.

If you haven’t then I know where you can get a second or even third hand one.

Inside info. Anyone who wants a bargain might wish to pop up (or down, depending on where you live) to Manchester on Thursday 8^th December. Perhaps you might want an early Christmas present.

The High Court Enforcement officers who work out of the Sheriff’s Office in Manchester are holding a car auction on that date.

A certain Skoda that was seized a few months ago outside a farmhouse up a muddy lane a few miles outside Welshpool is being sold. It will be going for a song.

It has at least two careless owners and one purported new owner. That is Kitchen-Griffin-Kitchen. Griffin being the meat in the Kitchen sandwich.

Do you want to own a little slice of nationalist history? It will probably be a real bargain. It will be an affordable car.

The proceeds will go towards the costs owed to those four excellent nationalists Nichola Smith, Kenny Smith, Ian Dawson and Steve Blake by Nick Nick Griffin and his unfortunate co-litigant Simon Darby.

This is just the latest instalment in that long running saga known as the Decembrists case. It is starting to get more amusing with each twist and turn.

And there’s more.

Nick Nick and his co-plaintiff Simon Darby had to pay into the High Court £45,000 in order to have their final appeal heard the other week. The appeal was dismissed in a matter of minutes and the £45,000 was transferred to the Decembrists legal team. This sum was actually awarded as an interim costs payment to the Decembrists last December (what a coincidence) but Nick Nick then proceeded to try and wriggle out of it with ridiculous appeal after ridiculous appeal. Not only will Nick Nick’s idiotic actions have added to the final costs bill that he will have to pay the Decembrists, but also Nick Nick will have to pay a further large sum to his own legal team because of all this.

It is estimated that Nick Nick will somehow have to find an extra £65,000 or so when the full costs bill has been calculated in a few months.

But the fun does not stop there.

Because Nick Nick indulged in these ridiculous appeals and delayed paying the £45,000 that was awarded last December, further interest is payable on that sum at the standard High Court rate of 8%. This means that approximately £3,600 is due for that alone.

How much will Nick Nick’s old Skoda go for?

A COSTLY DAY FOR MR GRIFFIN

Those ‘in the know’ have for quite a while regarded 7^th November as a landmark date in the downward spiral that is the career of Nick Nick Griffin.

It was the last opportunity for him to make one of his useless, time-wasting and costly (to hell with the expenses when he has a mug ready to donate the readies) appeals. This time it was in the case against the ‘Decembrists’. These are a group of solid dedicated nationalists who fell foul of Griffinlaw back in December 2007.

They are Kenny and Nichola Smith, Ian Dawson and Steve Blake.

Nick Nick Griffin initiated various vexatious legal actions against them and they quite rightly resisted. That it has taken this long to get this far is just an indication of the legal buffoonery of Nick Nick Griffin, where every pathetic excuse is made to delay, to put back and to obscure. Yet all his pitiful chicanery actually achieves is a bigger bill for his bad self, and anyone mug enough to be standing next to him in the dock when the hammer comes down. In this case, step forward homeowner Simon Darby.

The case was heard in the High Court on the Strand in front of Lord Justice Ward. It took him all of 20 minutes to dismissed Nick Nick Griffin’s application for leave to appeal. The judge said "None of the arguments are substantial enough to give a realistic prospect of success. I see no realistic prospect of success and I dismiss the application."

The sum of £45,000 had been paid into the Court Funds Office in advance by Nick Nick’s legal team in order to allow the case to be heard. It is reported that £20,000 of this was provided by Simon Darby and the other £25,000 by Nick Nick. Actually a foolish donor gave it to Nick Nick in order to secure an advantageous seat in a forthcoming election, where the donor mistakenly thinks he has a chance of getting elected. He will soon learn that he has zero chance.

This money has now been transferred by the court to the ‘Decembrists’ legal team.

The £45,000 payment is in fact just the first slice of costs that Nick Nick and his co litigant will have to cough up. It is a down payment. The full costs have yet to be assessed. This will actually take months. It is complex and no final settlement will be made until roughly just before next years’ Greater London Assembly Elections. Oh dear what terrible timing.

The full assessment is likely to be for around £110,000, which includes interest payable at 8% for the period since last December when Nick Nick first conceded the case. In other words prior to his fruitless appeals.

As £45,000 has already been paid, this means that a further £65,000 or so will have to be found from somewhere. Will Nick Nick look after his ‘friend’ or will he leave him to sink?

I know of three other big sums that need paying soon due to a variety of other ongoing legal battles. Watch this space!

This all makes interesting viewing. It is also good to see justice done for once.

NEW MAGAZINE LAUNCHED BY THE ENGLISH DEMOCRATS

I was interested to see that the English Democrats have launched a fantastic new inspirational magazine called ‘England Awake’.

This is one more indication that the English Democrats are going from strength to strength.

The magazine has a good catchy title and is very well designed. I understand that it was mailed out to members and supporters as part of a targeted fund raising exercise – another indicator that the English Democrats are really getting serious.

SIGN THE MIGRATION WATCH PETITION!

Migration Watch UK is an independent, voluntary, non political body which is concerned about the present scale of immigration into Britain. They have launched a petition, the aim of which is to force a debate in the House of Commons about the shocking levels of immigration into this country that I highlighted a couple of articles back.

100,000 signatures are required for an e-petition to be sent to a Back Bench Committee to be considered for a debate in Parliament. This was how the European Union Referendum debate came about last week. This caused massive popular interest in the issue of Britain’s withdrawal from the EU. Clearly this is a tool which can be used to raise matters of great popular concern, if done the right way by adopting a sensible moderate approach.

This is the press release Migration Watch UK sent out yesterday to announce their petition:

Migration Watch UK have today launched an e-petition calling on the government to stabilise the population of the UK and, certainly, to keep it well below 70 million.

The new official population projections issued last week show our population hitting 70 million in 16 years. This is on the assumption that net immigration will continue at 200,000 a year compared to almost 240,000 last year. The UK population was last estimated in 2010 at 62.3 million.

This population increase of more than 7 million is the equivalent of building seven cities the size of Birmingham or fourteen the size of Manchester or Bristol and about two thirds of it (just over 5 million) will be due to future immigration. Immigration will have to be sharply reduced to about 40,000 a year to stabilise our population.

Commenting, Sir Andrew Green, Chairman of Migration Watch UK, said ‘Labour permitted foreign immigration of over three million in the face of strongly opposed public opinion. Politicians need reminding that this is an issue that is consistently one of the top concerns of voters and that it must be addressed, and soon. It is time to stop listening to those who support and, often, make money from the immigration ‘industry’ and consider the views of the people most directly affected. This, at last, is an opportunity for the man in the street to make his views heard where it counts.’

AN AMUSING CORRECTION!

I reported that Nick Griffin’s son-in-law Angus had been made BNP Councillor Representative. I had been told that this appointment had been ushered through on the nod. But it transpires that following the exposure by Debbie Stafford of the duplicitous stratagem to manipulate the appointment of the next Councillor Representative it was decided that this Griffinite cunning plan could not go ahead.

The publicity given to his scheming forced Nick Nick to back track. Not for the first time and not for the last, the words in this blog have forced a change of direction on his part. It is rather like being a puppet master with me pulling Nick Nick’s strings and he as a latter day Pinocchio. However if that were literally the case his nose would be several miles long.

To cut a long story short, it was felt that Angus’s position would be impossible in the light of the pre-conference publicity about his pending appointment and in the end he did not put himself forward. The new Councillor Representative is none other than Lewis Allsebrook (pictured on a European trip to Waterloo I organised late last year).

I will refrain from commenting about him.

But this is one correction that it gives me great pleasure in making.

SEVERAL PEOPLE ATTEND CONFERENCE

I was amused to see that the BNP’s Annual Conference was a poorly attended flop. The chickens have really come home to roost.

When I was National Organiser just over a year and a half (or was that two decades) ago, I was checking big posh hotels for that years’ conference. I provisionally booked one that was a veritable stately home with neo classical pillars, sumptuous rooms, a fine restaurant and a state of the art conference facility. There were even several executive suites for the more honoured guests that were thrown in for the same price. I guaranteed 250 paying voting members for two nights with a Gala Dinner on the Friday night for 100. Attendance was restricted to two year members who were also accredited activists and who had attended a proper training event in the previous year. We always turned people away who wanted to come along but failed to meet these strict criteria.

This year, Nick Nick Griffin and the degenerate bunch of losers he surrounds himself with as his entourage, booked his fast shrinking Party’s conference into the back room of a Merseyside boozer – a fine contrast to the Palladian setting that would have graced the event in 2010.

He flung the creaky doors open to anyone – member or non member who wished to come along. By these means he managed to attract about 80 lost souls.

They had to listen as Clive Rizzle Kicks Jefferson falsely claimed that Ad Lorries – to whom the BNP owes over £100,000 – was in Liquidation. A simple search with Companies House proves this to be a bare faced lie.

Rizzle Kicks also blandly asserted that all the BNP’s financial problems were down to Jim Dowson and Dave Hannam. ‘Not me Guv’ writ large. Any murmurs of dissent from the attendees? Was there hell!

Instead of a Gala Diner they had a hog roast. No wonder his snobbish wife Jackie stayed away. There were even reports of undignified fights in the ‘Ladies’ lavatory.

Nick Nick’s son in law Angus was indeed ‘voted’ in as Councillor Representative. His only previous duty was to walk Princess Jennifer’s Pomerania doggie called ‘Fat Dave’. Another petty slight aimed at the deceased National Treasurer.

There was also a petition circulated by the Liverpool grouplet demanding that the London Organiser and his Argentinean (Eastern) candidate for London Mayor be replaced for being ethnically diverse.

FAIR NEWS COVERAGE

The BBC are compelled to report on every party conference and the BNP are no different. Nick Nick likes to think that the BNP are treated differently and are picked on.

He seems to be trying to persuade himself that he has come through a rocky patch – and out the other side. As someone who might have contributed a little bit towards this patch, a few pebbles leastwise, I can tell him that he is actually still right in the middle of it.

Some very nasty boulders, big and sharp, are about to land on his bloated bonce. I for one can hardly wait to see the splatter damage. It will be worth missing a few episodes of The Only Way Is Essex for I can tell you – that might give you some idea of the amount of relish I have for what is about to unfold.

If he thinks the public is on his side then next year’s GLA Elections where the BNP will be utterly trashed and humiliated will tell him otherwise. He will be able to hold next year’s Conference in his front room – that is if he has a front room next year. He may of course personally be residing in secure accommodation.

Now watch this one. At about 20 seconds in he spits out with a disturbingly harsh note to his voice, that the BNP are more popular with the public than it has ever been before! He is clearly deluded and thinks that by snarling this ludicrous claim (the BNP’s election results are the worst for ten years) it will come true and his ever shrinking audience will believe it.

When I used the word ‘disturbingly’, it was reference to the fact that Nick Nick Griffin is clearly mentally disturbed. He is stark staring boggle eyed mad. That is how he is and that is how comes across to the public. That is fair news coverage.

CONSTITUTIONAL ARITHMETIC

The importance of young Angus’s appointment as Councillor Representative lies in the fact that this official sits on the National Executive .

Have you ever noticed that the further into terminal decline a regime descends that it grants unto itself more and more grandiose and ludicrous titles? The National Executive indeed.

It is a bit like Napoleon making Marshall Ney the Prince de la Moskowa in March 1813... after the French Army had humiliatingly been forced to retreat from Moscow at the end of the previous year.

Whatever else you might say about them, Ney was a brave man and Napoleon was a military genius. A more fitting comparison to Nick Nick Griffin is Idi Amin, the former President of Uganda. Before he was deposed he bestowed upon himself the following titles:

His Excellency, President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Doctor Idi Amin Dada, VC, DSO, MC, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Seas and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular.

I am sure Nick Nick Griffin models his career on that of Idi Amin.

The current BNP Constitution (version 12.3) was voted through at Nick Nick Griffin’s corrupt General Members Meeting held in July. Under Section 8, the National Executive is supposed to be comprised of the following individuals:

· The National Chairman.

· 6 people appointed by the National Chairman (including the National Treasurer, Head of Administration, National Organiser and National Nominating Officer).
· 11 Regional Organisers elected by their Regional Councils (one from each European Parliamentary Region – there are in fact 12 such regions but never mind).
· 11 Regional Chairmen also elected from each of the above Regional Councils.
· The Councillor Representative.
· A Deputy Treasurer elected by the National Executive.

I'm not sure whether or not there should also be a Partridge in a Pear Tree - if so you would get more sense out of the tree than out of any of the members of the National Executive. Adding these up tells us that a total of 31 people should be on the National Executive under the constitution. The quorum for any decision made by a meeting of the National Executive to be binding is 2/3. So 21 people would have to attend to make a quorum.

The only significant power that the National Executive has is under Section 8.6, where it may force an Extraordinary General Meeting to discuss whatever issue it so chooses, even against the Chairman’s will.

If all 31 people were present this would require a vote of 21 members of the National Executive. If only 21 members were present it would require 14 members.

Nick Griffin, his six appointees and Angus comprise a sufficient number of votes to block any such motion if 21 attend. Even if all 31 people were present Nick Nick Griffin would only need the support of three Regional representatives.

Anyone who thinks that the National Executive will ever hold Nick Nick Griffin to account is living in a dream world. For a start I very much doubt that there are 31 people left in the BNP who are willing to serve on the body still less attend the meetings. If by some miracle everyone did attend then the National Executive meeting would be the equivalent of a BNP mass rally.

Not one single Regional Organiser or Regional Chairman has been elected since the new constitution came into effect. It seems that the South West, Eastern and Welsh Regions do not even have improperly nominated Regional Organisers of any description whatsoever and that these regions have ceased to exist. Still that isn’t important as the illustrious hierarchy of the BNP are not even capable of working out that there are 12 Regions not 11. That’s the trouble with numbers bigger than ten. Counting becomes terribly difficult.

In Section 8.8 it says that in the event of a leadership election all posts on the National Executive fall vacant and they must be all newly elected or appointed.

This means that currently the Permanent Chairman, young Angus and the Nick Nick Griffin appointees are the only bona fide members of the National Executive. There are only eight properly appointed National Executive members and they are in Nick Nick’s pocket. Nice. That's how he wants it.

Constitutionally there are no Regional Organisers at all at present. They are supposed to be elected by their Regional Councils and the Regional Councils are supposed to largely be comprised of delegates elected by the branches and groups. The Regional Chairmen are supposed to be elected in the same manner. Predictably none of this has been done. There is no one left to do it. There are hardly any branches or groups left anywhere.

There isn’t anyone in the party up to challenging this arrangement.

It really is all over.

POPULATION

According to the Office for National Statistics the population of the United Kingdom is set to increase by 4.4 million to reach 65 million by 2016. Over the next five years there will be an increase of 880,000 a year.

Projections indicate that the population will rise to 71 million by 2031. That seems on the low side as it suggests an increase of another 6 million in the 15 years between 2016 and 2031. That is an increase of 400,000 a year.

By 2051 they estimate that the population will be 77 million. That is an increase of only 300,000 a year between 2031 and 2051.

Clearly they think the velocity of increase will slow down. I don’t know what they are basing that on. When the last projection was made in 2004, it was estimated that the 2016 population would be 63.5 million. So seven years ago they underestimated the increase by 1.5 million. This rather suggests that the figure of 71 million will be reached significantly sooner than 2031.

The increase is caused by longer life expectancy, a drastic increase of births over deaths, and large scale net inward migration.

The increase in population will be much larger in England than in the rest of the United Kingdom.

Between 2011 and 2016 England will experience an 8% increase in her population, while Scotland’s will only rise by 3%.

What does this mean for England?

England’s population will rise from about 51 million now to 60.5 million by 2031. Between 2011 and 2031 the UK population is set to rise by 10.4 million. This means that of those 10.4 million new people, 9.5 million will be crammed into England and just 900,000 spread over Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Yet if we exclude small city or island states, then England is already the fourth most overcrowded country in the world.

This will have a massive effect on the infrastructure of the country – on access to hospitals, doctors, dentists and schools. The roads will be more crowded. There will be problems with water supply and sewage treatment. More money will need to be spent on translation services. It means that there will be much more competition for jobs, particularly at the lower end of the market. With more young people here originating from low wage economies earnings will be driven down to the minimum wage. It will become the modal average wage.

Up until the early 1980s it was usually said that Britain had absorbed around 1.9 million immigrants since the war. That is in 35 years. That is an average of less than 55,000 a year. There was considerable disquiet about rates of immigration at that time. Major politicians addressed these concerns – it was not just the fringe.

In 1968 Enoch Powell made his famous ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech and in 1978 Margaret Thatcher said “People are really rather afraid that this country might be rather swamped by people with a different culture”.

These comparatively low levels immigration effected a profound change upon English society. It ushered in political correctness and the multi-cultural dogma whereby the expression of Englishness became more or less verboten.

It affected England because the overwhelming majority of these immigrants settled in England, just as the overwhelming majority of the new immigrants have and will settle in England

It is primarily an English problem that requires an English solution.

What will England look like in just five years time?

The Office for National Statistics estimate that migration will add 190,000 new people a year. The migration figures are net – in other words immigrants minus emigrants. The actual flow, the ‘churn’ is much greater.

If we look at 2010 in particular, 575,000 people immigrated in while, 336,000 emigrated out. This leaves a net figure for that year of 239,000. A large number of people who emigrate are from the host population who give up and move to the Costas or perhaps the Antipodes.

For those who claim that most migrants are Eastern Europeans, the largest single group of long-term migrants were overseas students, with 228,000 arriving in 2010 and 78% of them were from outside the European Union.

In 2009 80% of people granted settlement were from Africa and Asia.

As the age profile of migrants is much younger than that in the host population and because migrants tend to have larger families, the increase in population through births outnumbering deaths will also have the effect of increasing the proportion of migrants and their offspring in England.

The effect of this – the differential birth rates and the fact that most emigrants are, let’s face it, ‘ethnically’ English while few immigrants are – is that England is very rapidly losing its Englishness.

If anyone thinks that these vast numbers of new arrivals will absorb any aspect of Englishness over the next few years, when the very concept of England or what it means to be English is actively discouraged by the liberal ascendency, then they must be living in cloud cuckoo land.

The traditional English population is rapidly declining. It is not reproducing itself in terms of births over deaths and increasing numbers are emigrating.

In England the host population will fall by at least 6 million by 2031. In that time the migrant population will rise by 16 million. That is on top of the changes which have already taken place over the past ten years.

These figures suggest that in 2031 the English will almost be a minority in England.

What is the answer?

Some will run around in circles and demand the compulsory repatriation of every single ethnic foreigner. This is futile and self destructive as English people will not support such a policy in any appreciable numbers. Hard line solutions will not work and are unappealing to our countrymen. That is a simple fact and anyone who pursues such policies must be a fantasist and is part of the problem.

The only answer is to embrace those migrants who share our values, mostly those who came here some time ago, and build a sensible cohesive force that can unite our people and save us from obliteration.

That obliteration will not just be ethnic, it will be cultural also. All our traditions, our customs, our entire way of life will be swept away.

We must put an end to new immigration and deport the many illegal immigrants and bogus asylum seekers which are hitching a free ride. We must stabilise our population and rebuild our national community.

Ironically liberalism, our own worst internal enemy will die as well. Free speech, free association, free and fair elections, sexual equality, our English Common Law – it will all be lost. The new population will not understand or respect these things. Civil disorder of the sort seen in this summers riots will become the norm.

As I have said, it is primarily an English problem and it will need an English solution. It is another reason why the nations of these islands have to come to a new understanding with each other.

In England it requires a rebirth of our national spirit. A spirit that has been deliberately suppressed by the liberal ascendency for two generations. There are signs that this is happening. We must nurture these new shoots so that they grow and flourish. This is our last chance – our last hope.

DAMNED AGAIN

Many of you will have heard that the BNP’s Councillor Representative has resigned from the BNP in disgust.

The Councillor Representative is elected by the other councillors each year at the Annual Conference to sit on the Advisory Council to represent their views and give them a voice. Debbie Stafford was elected at last year’s conference on a ticket that was openly sceptical of the BNP leadership (see picture).

As I understand it since then she invariably was only told about Advisory Council meetings at the last minute. The AC is now called the National Executive and the Regional Organisers are supposedly elected by their regions, although this has yet to happen. This means that Debbie Stafford remained the only member of the National Executive with an independent mandate, except of course the permanent leader of the BNP Nick Nick Griffin MEP.

There was a National Executive meeting a couple of weeks ago and this time she was excluded altogether.

KEEP IT IN THE FAMILY

Furthermore at a recent North West Regional Council Meeting, Clive Rizzle Kicks Jefferson announced that he would ensure that Angus Matthys would be the new Councillor Representative. Angus Matthys, for those who do not know, is the husband of Princess Jennifer Griffin.

Rizzle Kicks can ensure this is happens as planned as the National Conference is in the North West and he got a few of his mates ‘elected’ (unopposed) as parish councillors in various miniscule parish councils in the North West.

Angus was ‘elected’ (unopposed) as a parish councillor earlier this year on the basis that he would serve alongside the Princess as he is not interested in politics. However by some quirk of fate, he was ‘elected’ and she wasn’t. Young Angus will vote the ‘right way’ on the National Executive when required to do so. This has a minor degree of importance as the National Executive was given miniscule new powers and Nick Nick Griffin must ensure that no one can ever assemble a 2/3rds majority against him. He obviously wants to leave nothing to chance.

Here is her damning resignation letter that was sent to the few remaining councillors:

Dear All

I have resigned both my position as Councillor representative and my membership of the British National Party.

My reasons for doing so are quite simple. Neither the party nor the chairman has any respect for Councillors and elections. The party is run as a family business with a ‘job for boys’ attitude that will never change!

I have seen firsthand how the party is run from the Wigton office. It is conducted in a disreputable manner with dirty tricks being the order of the day. I feel I can no longer support such actions.

The National Executive is supposed to consist of elected Regional Organisers, yet I am still the only elected representative sitting on it (apart from Nick Griffin). You elected me onto the executive to give you a voice, not to be a yes-man.

However they have deliberately excluded me from NE meetings. I have not been invited!

I believe the reason they did this was precisely because I am not a yes-man. That is exactly why I was not invited to the previous NE meeting.

I have only ever been invited to two previous AC meetings, on both occasions as an afterthought with just a few days notice. This time I did not even get that. I heard nothing at all about the meeting until a councillor got in touch with me to ask how it had gone! To say I was shocked would be a lie, as nothing the party does would shock me now.

I feel this behaviour shows the lack of respect Nick Griffin holds for the councillors of the party. I am only there as your representative. To not invite an NE member that you voted for is disgraceful and shows a complete lack of organisational skills. The party truly has no organisational ability at the centre.

I am aware that at a recent North West Regional Council Meeting, Clive Jefferson decided that Nick Griffin’s son-in-law is to be the next Councillor Rep on the NE, and he will arrange this with a block vote of North West councillors at the forthcoming National Conference which will be held in the North West.

I do wish Angus Matthys luck with his upcoming position. At least he will definitely be informed about everything that is happening and he is personally a nice young man. Even though he has only been a parish councillor for a few months and is totally politically inexperienced. But I am afraid they just want someone on the NE to vote they way they want them to vote.

However I can no longer stay in a party that is run in this manner.

Debbie Stafford

Remember she lives in Wigton and will know better than most what goes on up there. She knows Clive and his tricks well.

I believe that this letter has caused the floundering Griffin regime considerable discomfort in the run up to their little conference this coming weekend. A damage limitation exercise is doubtless underway and I suspect that Debbie Stafford will be unveiled as a Searchlight spy and a liar.

Debbie Stafford is well respected in her community and was for a period Deputy Major of Wigton. When I was National Organiser a year and a half ago (although it seems like ten years) I know that Rizzle Kicks was desperate to get Debbie onto the payroll in the Wigton Office as she was one of the few competent administrators in the BNP – particularly within reasonable distance of the Wigton Office. He used to rely on her to do all his work, such as writing e-mails – writing anything in fact. Rizzle Kicks can just about read for himself so long as he mouths the words as he runs his finger along each line.

Debbie Stafford also provided a lot of help in an unpaid capacity researching for the highly successful Cumbrian Flood film and exhibition that was shown in Brussels in mid March 2010.

There was talk at that time of making Debbie Events Manager as she was by far the most efficient worker that I had seen in making bookings, negotiating prices, managing attendance lists and so forth. At that time the BNP had several big events in its calendar – the Organisers Conference, the National Conference, the Summer School, the Trafalgar Club Dinner and the RWB, as well as four annual group visits to the European Parliament, so it would have been quite a responsible job. Up until then I had to arrange most of these things along with my other duties, so it was obvious that a dedicated member of staff was required as the party grew.

In those far off days the BNP was growing! Now it is Britain’s fastest shrinking party! It can arrange national meetings in the back rooms of small pubs now.

Nick Nick and his trusty henchman Rizzle Kicks do not appreciate women with opinions. They occasionally like one on the top table as a pretence, but that is it. To be seen and not heard. It is a pattern that goes back to the first Deputy Chairman Sharron Edwards.

There is no room for anyone with independent opinions in the BNP. It is Nick Nick Griffin’s personal play thing.

REGIME CHANGE

It is easy to make comparisons between the destruction of the brutal Gaddafi regime and the decline and fall of the corrupt Griffin regime. Some may look forward to the same end for both dictators.

There was that disgraceful episode in 1988 when Nick Griffin and his henchman Pat Harrington went to Libya in an attempt to solicit funds from the Gaddafi regime for the National Front, an earlier party that those two successfully drove onto the rocks.

There is no doubt that Gaddafi was a bad man. Only a political buffoon would have cosied up to him. The very idea that a nationalist would so beggars belief.

In the scheme of things Gaddafi was a common-or-garden 'Third World' dictator.

But he had a degree of impact on events in this country out of all proportion to his status as a Dictator because his regime was responsible for the murder of PC Yvonne Fletcher outside the Libyan Embassy in 1984, the Pan Am Lockerbie bombing in 1988 and the supply of Semtex to the IRA. Indeed Libya was by far the single biggest supplier of all forms of weaponry to the IRA.

Despite this Tony Blair met Gaddafi in 2004, 2008 and 2009. He was fulsome in his praise for the Dictator.

In 2009 Gaddafi was Chairman of the African Union when he met Gordon Brown at the G8 summit held that year in Italy. Indeed Gaddafi had been the driving force behind the creation of the African Union in 2002

Over the last few years the European Union had also been keen to develop links with Gaddafi’s Libya. For example at the beginning of 2011 Libya co-chaired with Spain the Africa-EU Migration, Mobility and Employment Partnership.

Was Libya the only regime in the world governed by a brutal dictator?

Hardly.

What about Mugabe in Zimbabwe? Equatorial Guinea is regarded as having the worst human rights records in the world. Freedom House, an international body that operates out of the United States which researches such things, reported in 2010 that 47 countries were not free.

Other countries which ranked alongside Libya included Uzbekistan, Eritrea, Somalia, Sudan, Burma, North Korea, Turkmenistan, Tibet.

In the pecking order China, Belarus, Vietnam, Chad, Ivory Coast, Swaziland, Cuba, Laos, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, Georgia and the Western Sahara were not far behind.

Unpleasant as he may have been but Gaddafi was far from unique and this had not stopped Blair, Brown nor the EU from buddying up to him over the past few years.

I have no idea whether Gaddafi was genuinely unpopular in Libya. It is fruitless measuring such things by our standards. In what used to be called ‘Third World’ countries, in general the populace just wants a ‘strong man’ in power. The current uprising began in February this year.

From March onwards Great Britain, France and the United States (mainly) have been attacking troops loyal to the Gaddafi regime and providing arms and training for the rebels. Special Forces personal have also been active in direct land operations against Gaddafi loyalists. I strongly suspect that had this not happened, the rebellion would have fizzled out at an early stage. It must have been virtually impossible for the Gaddafi side to effectively plan and carry out countermeasures when under constant air attack.

The West weakened Gaddafi’s hold. He was no longer a ‘strong man’ and so momentum went with the rebels. Still it took them an inordinately long time to get him. This tells us I think that the rebels were not exactly that popular either.

Why did the West chose to back the rebels? Well, Libya is an oil rich state with a long coastline. It is easily accessible to attack from aircraft carriers. Despite recent deals with Gaddafi, an opportunity arose and they took it. It is the eternal law of the jungle. Regime change to facilitate the scramble for resources. That’s just how it goes. I’m not going to hypocritically wring my hands over that.

Everyone must have seen the end.

Reduced to his last stronghold – Sirte – it required a direct French air attack on his convoy to enable the brave rebels to close on Gaddafi and capture him.

As one might expect from such people, they wounded him, dragged him about, beat him up and then summarily shot him in the head. The same treatment was meted out to one of his sons.

The crowds soon gathered in Tripoli, Benghazi and the Edgware Road waving pictures of dead people with glee, firing guns in the air, whooping, wailing, praying to Mecca.

The BBC and Sky News commentators joined in with gusto. Wasn’t Gaddafi found hiding in a pipe like a rat? When his captors pulled him around, bloodied and dishevelled, didn’t he plead for mercy?

By making a last stand in Sirte, against impossible odds when he surely could have fled to another country and lived out the remainder of his life in comfort, Gaddafi showed considerable courage.

Considerably more courage than I would expect Blair, Brown, Cameron or the BBC and Sky News journalists to be able to muster under similar circumstances.

Cameron of course then conveniently remembered Yvonne Fletcher, Lockerbie and the IRA’s Semtex.

The whole episode left a nasty taste in my mouth.

Not because of the images. Some commentators have been complaining about the graphic nature of the media coverage surrounding Gaddafi’s murder. But I disagree. We shown be shown the uncensored reality. We should not be shielded from unpalatable facts.

NAPOLEON

I would not compare Gaddafi to Napoleon for one moment. Napoleon was a military genius who bestrode Europe for two decades.

Yet Napoleon was regarded as a tyrant. A brutal dictator. He viciously crushed Royalist rebellions in France. He ran a police state backed up by censorship. There was precious little democracy. He installed members of his family as rulers of oppressed neighbouring states. Millions died in the wars that bore his name.

When he was finally toppled in 1814 he was sent to live on the Mediterranean Isle of Elba but within a year escaped and plunged Europe back into war.

During that last campaign alone, which culminated in Napoleon’s final defeat at the Battle of Waterloo, around 50,000 people died. Sacrificed for the ambition of one man.

In defeat, when Napoleon fled he surrendered himself to England. We gave him safe haven on board HMS Bellerophon – the famous Billy Ruffian. Napoleon was taken to the remote Atlantic Island of St Helena with a small retinue. He was allowed to live out his life in reasonable comfort and write his memoirs. Nineteen years later his body was returned to France where it was interred in great splendour in Les Invalides in Paris, where it still can be found to this day.

It is inconceivable that we would have sat back and allowed the mob in Paris to tear him apart. That is what mobs do. They are at your feet or at your throat. One minute, when things are going well they would be cheering him with cries of ‘Vive L’Empereur’, the next they would be stoning him. Still less would we have disposed of his body in the Atlantic to stop is grave becoming a place of pilgrimage.

It would have been beneath Britain’s dignity for a vanquished foe – even a hated enemy such as Napoleon – to be badly used. It would have diminished us as a people.

CETSHWAYO

When we defeated the Zulus in the 1879 war, their king Cetshwayo, who was regarded as a brutal tyrant, was captured and brought to London for a few years, where he was wined and dined, before being allowed to return and rule a portion of his old territory.

THEODORE

In 1868, the mad Emperor Theodore of Ethiopia kidnapped a large number of Europeans, held them in chains and threatened to execute them unless various demands were met. We sent an army to rescue them. They marched 400 miles through uncharted hostile territory and thrashed the Ethiopian army. Theodore committed suicide and the prisoners were released. Theodore’s son and heir had rival claimants to his throne, who would have killed him as soon as the British army departed. So we brought him back to England and sent him to Rugby School!

DOST MOHAMMAD

During the First Afghan War we invaded and deposed the ruler, the Emir Dost Mohammad Khan, who was deemed to be dangerously pro-Russian. In 1840 he surrendered and we sent him to exile in India. The trouble continued in Afghanistan (as it tends to) led by Dost Mohammad’s son and our small garrison in Kabul tried to evacuate back to India in the middle of the winter. However they were massacred at Gandamack in 1842, where the 44^th East Essex Regiment made its famous last stand. We of course went back and destroyed Kabul to teach them a lesson. However even though he was known to be a cruel and vicious ruler, to bring peace to Afghanistan we actually sent Dost Mohammad Khan back in 1844 and he continued to rule, usually as a faithful ally, until he died in 1863.

ARABI

Following the construction of the Suez Canal, Egypt came under increasing European domination. In reaction to this there was a military coup against the weak ruler Tewfik Pasha, led by an officer called Ahmed Arabi. We were concerned in case Arabi repudiated the massive debts owed by the Egyptian Government or that he might seize control of the Suez Canal – the lifeline of the British Empire. Accordingly in 1882 we invaded and quickly thrashed the Egyptian army. Arabi was captured and the new Egyptian authorities sentenced him to death. We made sure this was commuted to banishment for life and Arabi was taken to Ceylon where he lived comfortably. In fact he was permitted to return to Egypt in 1901.

I could give you many more similar examples.

We made sure that our vanquished enemies were treated properly, even when they didn’t deserve it.

That is how a great nation behaves. With panache. With style.

It does not allow mobs to take revenge. Nor does it engage in show trials. It has confidence it its own power and strength.

Gaddafi’s end is actually another illustration of the decline of the West.

AN INTERLUDE IN ESSEX

By way of light relief there was a slight kerfuffle down Loughton High Street as they were filming a scene from The Only Way Is Essex at Lydia’s supposed new retro-boutique-cake shop called Bella Sorella. It seemed to be an opening party as a lot of the cast were inside, including Mario (Mark’s enemy) and Mark’s mother (for those who know the storyline).
Mark’s sister Jessica has just opened another boutique a hundred or so yards down the road called Jessica’s.
Credit crunch? What credit crunch? There's plenty of money in the entertainment industry still that's for sure.
Meanwhile big Gemma went over the road to a coffee shop for some extra supplies.

For which Arg seemed to be very eager.

QUESTIONS UNANSWERED

During the making of the recent Panorama program, the producers sent Nick Griffin a number of questions to give him the opportunity to reply. This was because he refused to meet them to answer questions in person. I thought it might be a useful exercise to examine some of Nick Griffin’s answers as he seems to think that they show that the BNP is financially trustworthy.

So here we go...

QUESTION: That the BNP fraudulently uses European money to fund national party work, in breach of European Union funding regulations. (There is a similar question about staff).
ANSWER: The British National Party does not use European Union (EU) money in this way. We are not in breach of any EU funding regulations. The allegations have been made by individuals or factions with grudges or personal financial vested interests in unseating me. The body charged with responsibility to monitor the financial compliance of the complex European regulations is OLAF. We are working well with them and fully co-operating. We are systematically answering unfounded allegations with fact and evidence. We await their deliberations and considered advice at the end of this process and expect constructive suggestions about procedural matters. It would be inappropriate and misleading for the BBC to make any statements pre-judging issues on the basis of information supplied by those with axes to grind. You should await the findings of the regulatory body tasked with such matters.
THE TRUTH: I know as I was there at the outset when decisions were made, and the simple fact is people were given bogus European jobs in order to do party work. I am unaware of Clive Jefferson ever doing any European related work for example.
You do not ‘work well with OLAF’. You get investigated by OLAF and they are actively investigating several alleged breaches. It is like the Great Train Robbers claiming to 'work well' with the Sweeney.

QUESTION: Electricity was siphoned off from the European offices to the national offices next door.
ANSWER: I have spoken to staff at the offices, and they strongly deny any such suggestion. OLAF and the owners of the property have investigated this vexatious complaint and found no evidence to support it.
It is disgraceful that the BBC’s flagship investigative programme is wasting license-payers’ money raking up such unfounded malicious title-tattle at a time while allowing real issues – such as the Government’s cynical move to hide Afghan War casualties by abolishing the Wootton Bassett repatriation ceremony – to go unscrutinised.
THE TRUTH: It is a fact, known to quite a few people, that a hole was drilled through the wall to pass the electric wires through to the BNP office next door. I even know who did the work.

ANSWER: Our Treasurer, working closely with the Electoral Commission and the external Auditor, prepared and submitted election returns on time, using his best endeavours and in good faith on the basis of the information available to him, the records compiled by his predecessor. Subsequently, malicious allegations were made to the Electoral Commission after publication. The Commission considered these allegations and found no breach of electoral law in relation to the 2010 General Election campaign submission.
THE TRUTH: The National Campaign expenditure return was not counter-signed by any Auditor. Invoices were submitted with this return were falsely stamped ‘Paid’ when they were unpaid. As the companies whose invoices were falsely stamped ‘Paid’ were actively taking action against the BNP for non-payment this can hardly have been a mistake and that is why the allegation is that they were fraudulently submitted. Fraud is not dealt with by the Electoral Commission that much is true, as they deal with electoral law, even though the BNP’s return was clearly in breach of electoral law. At that time the Electoral Commission had limited enforcement powers. It is a criminal matter and I understand this matter is in the hands of the Police. They are the people who deal with fraud. Panorama’s question was poorly framed.

QUESTION: You signed the Barking constituency expenditure returns on the June 3rd 2010, which included unpaid bills which had been represented as paid.
ANSWER: The declaration signed by me was in good faith on the basis of returns prepared and presented to me by my Election Agent, Richard Barnbrook. He prepared the Return in consultation with the then Treasurer of the Party, David Hannam.
THE TRUTH: As we saw with the bogus 10,000 invoice, Nick Griffin worked closely with Dave Hannam in preparing ‘special’ invoices. Furthermore as was acknowledged during the EHRC case, Nick Griffin controls every aspect of the BNP’s operation. Nick Griffin cannot seriously claim that he was unaware in June 2010 that the various print suppliers had not been paid. In any case ignorance is no defence as Richard Barnbrook found out. In signing the return Nick Griffin agreed with the contents of the expense return and I understand that a prosecution will follow.

QUESTION: Your BNP treasurer Clive Jefferson, instructed a junior member of staff Marion Thomas to falsify expenditure records for the 2010 general election which were then submitted to the Electoral Commission, in breach of election law.
ANSWER: Our Treasurer, working closely with the Electoral Commission and the external Auditor, prepared and submitted election returns on time, using his best endeavours and in good faith on the basis of the information available to him. Subsequent allegations were filed with the Electoral Commission after publication. I understand that our Party Treasurer strenuously denies any suggestion from Marion Thomas to do anything other than represent the truth. I also dispute your description of Marion Thomas as a “junior employee” as she had supervisory responsibilities. Further, Marion Thomas, as well as being the sister-in-law of Jim Dowson, our then fundraiser, was centrally involved in the upkeep of Party invoices and payments. Marion Thomas made no mention of this allegation until she was made redundant as a consequence of the closure of the Belfast Office and after the termination of the contract with Jim Dowson. She is currently pursuing an Employment Tribunal claim against the Party but never mentioned any such allegation in the ET1 form she filed. If you intend to use any of Ms Thomas’s allegations, it is incumbent on you to point out to your viewers the fact that she now works for the Britain First fund-raising operation run by her brother-in-law, Jim Dowson, so that they can consider the possibility that she has a personal interest in trying to do the British National Party down.
THE TRUTH: Most of Nick Griffin’s answer is irrelevant to the matter at hand – namely that Clive Jefferson, the National Treasurer, had submitted a false return by having invoices stamped ‘Paid’ when they were unpaid and that he was in a position to know they were unpaid as the two companies involved (Newton Press and Romac) were actively pursuing the BNP in order to obtain settlement of their debts.
It is worth noting that the BNP has claimed that Romac were not paid because their invoices were false and did not relate to what was supplied. Yet this did not stop the BNP from providing these self same unpaid invoices to Barking and Dagenham Council and to the Electoral Commission to give substance to bogus election expense returns.

QUESTION: That the official BNP accounts are regularly submitted late and compiled in a flawed, chaotic and unreliable manner.
ANSWER: As with any rapidly expanding organisation, whether a business or a political party, we have encountered difficulties in structural adjustments. It is true that, like many other political parties, we have not always met deadlines set down by the Electoral Commission, but at each stage of our development we have sought to follow the advice of both the independent Auditor and Electoral Commission to improve our systems. The review of the Treasury Department carried out by the Financial Scrutiny Committee of the Party and incoming Treasurer have already identified previous weaknesses in our systems and moved swiftly to correct them through fundamental improvements to the way we operate. In summary, the complete separation of Regional and Central Party accounts – the removal of the Treasurer from Party bank accounts, and the employment of a retired chartered accountant whose job is the upkeep and maintenance of our financial records – solves many of the previous problems we identified. It is important to state here that the current delay in submissions to the Commission of the 2010 accounts stems from the unexpected serious illness of a contracted accountant, matters outside Party control which have been fully explained to the Commission. A breach of electoral law would only occur if a Treasurer submits late submissions "without reasonable excuse". We have provided the Electoral Commission with the full details and circumstances of the delay, and in the light of this we consider no breach of electoral law has occurred.
THE TRUTH: The BNP’s accounts have been submitted late for the past four years. The BNP’s record of financial accounting is demonstrably the worst of any political party in all the United Kingdom and Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Occasionally another party is a bit late, but the BNP’s consistency in this matter is exceptional. The BNP’s Auditor for the past few years has also commented that the records are incomplete. The BNP has regularly been fined. The BNP is the only party to fail to submit accounts for 2010. Nothing can cover up this shocking record.

QUESTION: Former officials have described the BNP accounts as works of fiction and that false invoices were created, in order to make the books appear to balance.
ANSWER: I think the key words here are “former officials”. Every organisation from time to time has officials or employees who prove unable to reach or maintain satisfactory standards and have to be demoted or sacked. Such individuals are notoriously liable to make unfounded or distorted accusations against their former employers. No specific details are given by you that warrant any further answer. The allegation is untrue.
THE TRUTH: The 10,000 invoice case showed exactly how invoices are manufactured in the BNP. The BNP’s published accounts are a work of fiction. The Auditor in the last set of published accounts (for 2009) regularly had to make wild guesses as to what the expenditure related to.

QUESTION: The BNP accounts for 2009 attribute under the heading “Staff Wages” the sum of £37,450 to John Walker. There is no evidence that John Walker ever received such a sum, even in part. In fact at the time the sum is said to have been made, he was not employed by the BNP. Mr Walker has raised this issue with you personally and you have failed to rectify it.
ANSWER: The sum was indeed incorrectly recorded as ‘wages’ when it was in fact reimbursements. The Party has had to endure two periods when pressure on high street banks from Islamic organisations and political opponents led to us being denied banking facilities. As a result, our suppliers were paid through a private business account in Mr Walker’s name, solely for party financial transactions. When we were able to secure new banking facilities, some suppliers preferred to continue being paid through that account. Such payments were of course reimbursed by the Party, hence the large non-wages payment total being paid to an account in Mr Walker’s name. This is the explanation provided to me by the previous Treasurer, and it accords with the facts as I know them. However, if you have any information indicating that this is incorrect, please provide it to me, and I will investigate further.
THE TRUTH: Firstly, if Nick Griffin has just so easily found out that these payments were in fact for suppliers then why wasn’t the Auditor told at the time? The accounts were submitted six months late so there was plenty of time. The Auditor must have asked what it was all about. The Accounts (page 21) actually state ‘No documentary evidence was put through the records to show what these payments covered’.
Secondly it does not say that the payment was to the ‘Nat West Walker and Hannam Account’ (which is listed as a BNP bank account on page 28 of the Accounts). The outgoings are described, under Staff Wages, as ‘J A Walker payments’. Clearly the payment does not relate money paid to the special account.
Thirdly the Auditor accounts for such items in the classifications provided by the National Treasurer – in other words he was told it should go under Staff Wages rather than to some unspecified supplier for unspecified good or services.
Fourthly if they were payments into a bank account in Mr Walker’s name, there would then be another payment out of that bank account to pay the fictitious supplier. The Auditor would have found this payment and accounted for it.
In fact this is a typical example of BNP bogus accounting and an attempt to use John Walker as a fall guy.

QUESTION: That both you and the BNP have used intimidation and harassment to deal with disagreements.
ANSWER: Our party is the victim of intimidation and harassment from political opponents including those in the establishment media. Your programme is an attempt to harass and is part of a pattern of harassment from the establishment media going back over many years.
Panorama could make a whole series of programmes about the intimidation and harassment directed against the British National Party by the political class, Government-sponsored thugs, politically correct police, local government authorities, and the media. I deny your hypocritical allegations completely.
THE TRUTH: Nick Griffin routinely uses his private security outfit to invade people’s houses when they fall foul of him (he did or attempted do to this to Kenny Smith, Sade Graham and Emma Colgate). He also uses his private security outfit to hold people against their will for interrogation. He did this to Shelley Rose in Chester in 2009 and to Marion Thomas in Ulster in 2010.

QUESTION: You have authorised the bugging of people in your party.
ANSWER: Panorama used covert recording equipment in its failed attempt to have me jailed for raising the scandal of Muslim gang grooming of young girls. Panorama staff are the buggers, not us.
THE TRUTH: Nick Griffin arranged for a bug to be put in Mark Collett’s office at the start of 2010. Needless to say nothing incriminating was recorded but it was discovered.
Those with longer memories will recall that the whole ‘Decembrists’ dispute came to light as a result of bugged conversations that were then re-edited to show them in a bad light.
We still have in our possession one of Nick Griffin’s favourite ‘extension lead’ bugs.
When I mounted a leadership challenge last year I held a perfectly legitimate pre-planning meeting with a few colleagues, and Griffin ensured that one of his degraded guttersnipes attended. This creepy individual bugged the meeting and heavily doctored snippets of this tape were reproduced by Griffin to purport to show various people at the meeting in a bad light.
Bugging opponents is second nature to Nick Griffin.

QUESTION: That during the recent riots in London you tweeted, “Riot footage shows it a joint Black/Jewish affair.”
ANSWER: That tweet merely commented on high-definition footage posted on the BBC News website on the first night of the riots at 01.27 hours under the headline Public Disorder in Tottenham. It related to Tottenham specifically at that point in time and not to other areas at other points in time. The footage showed youths dressed in Orthodox clothing among the rioters (most of whom were black) stoning the police officers and vehicles. I sent the tweet because the scenes of such a joint effort between criminal members of the two communities, whose relationship is at times strained, were so unusual. The riots were not just in London, of course.
Any attempt by Panorama to insinuate that one tweet in any way reflected my full analysis or view of the riots in general would be extremely dishonest of you.
THE TRUTH: This is a typical example of Griffin’s casual extremism and his Jew-phobia. There is no footage of people in Orthodox clothing stoning the police. There is footage of Orthodox Jewish people running away. I have seen footage of Orthodox Jewish people giving bread to film crews but I have seen no footage of Orthodox Jewish people involved in any criminal activity relating to the riots. There is a very large Orthodox Jewish community in South Tottenham. This is right on top of where some of the worst rioting and looting took place. South Tottenham is immediately adjacent to the well known Orthodox Jewish district of Stamford Hill. That is why it was not exactly surprising that Orthodox Jewish looking people would be in the area observing what was going on.
Of course Nick Griffin took one glance at the screen, saw some obvious Jews and gleefully jumped to the wrong conclusion. He saw what he wanted to see.

WHAT HAPPENED TO PANORAMA?

The much hyped Panorama program has come and gone, leaving barely a ripple behind.

To an average 'punter' it would reinforce the view that the BNP in general and Nick Griffin in particular are toxic and to be avoided. But that's about it.

Some – although I wasn’t one of them – were trumpeting before-hand that this program would be the final nail in Nick Griffin’s coffin. That it would devastate the remains of his tattered reputation and unmask him for all to see as a corrupt degenerate.

Nick Griffin and his creatures clearly had the same (to them) sinking feeling. He has been obsessed with little else for well over a month and his twitters were getting more and more desperate as the hours ticked away to the time for broadcast.

Following the death of the BNP’s former National Treasurer David Hannam, he and his ‘man’ Simon Darby were frantically trying to find out what Dave may have told the BBC. If that doesn’t tell you all you need to know about Griffin’s financial probity, then nothing will.

The program makers had unprecedented access to recent senior ex-BNP members who were quite willing to spill the beans on Griffin and his antics.

Never before have documentary makers had such a wealth of inside information with which to make a story. OK some would inevitably tell ‘partial’ stories. They would hold back here and there to avoid incriminating themselves perhaps. But nonetheless most of the information given – and documents provided – were to the best of my knowledge good.

Supplying this information you had, amongst many others, three former National Treasurers, the Business Manager and Chief Fundraiser who for about two years controlled all aspects of the BNP’s operations, the Web Manager, Head of Publicity and various people who worked at the centre of the BNP’s administration over the past five years along with people who have been instrumental in reporting various misdemeanours to the authorities which are the basis of ongoing official investigations.

Although these individuals may not all agree on what direction to take at present, all agree that Nick Griffin is a vile disgrace and a blot on the nationalist cause that must be eradicated by all means necessary. I completely share this opinion.

Nick Griffin has forfeited the right to any consideration. If a few others chose to stand by his side despite ample warning and they are sucked down into the miasma with him, then it is no fault but their own. The British National Party is absolutely bound to his fate. It will not be prised from his grip. He has besmirched its reputation to such an extent that its toxicity is written through it like the words in Brighton Rock.

That is why it was good for people to talk to Panorama.

THIS THING OF OURS

I know how it works in this thing of ours. It is like joining a family. Every time you try to leave it drags you back in. When you enter you take a vow of silence that may never be betrayed to people outside the family. If you break the vow of omerta then you have to go on the program and move to some place such as Mablethorpe on the Lincolnshire coast.

But there has been a lot of attrition within the BNP. All the old captains have gone. The best were chopped. There is usually at first a willing replacement, as the prospect of promotion goes to some people’s heads. Soon they fall by the way side and before you know it, people who would barely have been trusted to hand out a leaflet are in charge of Regions. The floor sweep becomes the captain.

But here’s the thing.

This time everyone talked because they felt it was their duty to talk.

In the grand scheme of things Griffin is the ultimate enemy of nationalism. It is the sacred duty of all sincere nationalists to do everything possible to destroy this disgusting man and the wretched minions who are his inner circle and who are well aware of the extent of his ultimate treachery to the cause. Griffin’s pure selfish greed has set us back ten years and his inner disease is outwardly evident in every bloated pore of his vilely distended body.

His declining band of fellow traitors still attempt to cover up the filthy slime trail that he leaves behind but this fools few nationalists. Hence, as I have said many times now, not one single reputable nationalist with any long term experience is on Nick Griffin’s side. Not one.

That really tells its own story.

That is why it is good to talk. This thing of ours, is ours. It isn’t his. He is outside the loop. Beyond the pale.

BEHIND THE SCENES

I know that lots of people spoke to the BBC and indeed I spoke to the BBC. In fact I met with the program maker Darragh MacIntyre three times. The first time was quite a few months ago. He rang and texted and e-mailed me about things to do with the program countless times.

I found him a very easy going and affable bloke, as was his producer.

They said they were not doing a hatchet job against nationalism, and they were good to their word. It was an expose of Griffin, pure and simple.

They said they would respect confidences and if individual people did not want to be named, or have their faces screened even in background shots, then the respected that. They understood that a lot of the participants did not want to be publicly associated with the toxic wasteland that is the BNP.

I know numerous other people personally who spoke, some on camera, some not. I have spoken to them about what information they supplied, and whether it was verbal or documentary.

I know that masses of very detailed information was supplied, but hardly any of it was used – virtually none of it in fact.

THE 10,000 EUROS AGAIN

The last time I met Darragh was a couple of weeks ago. At short notice he wanted to show me some documents that someone else had provided to him so I could express an opinion as to their provenance. They related to the notorious 10,000 Euro story.

Basically to repeat this again, last summer Griffin had been using his Nutzi attack dogs on a Nutzi chat forum called VNN to spread stories to the effect that I had stolen the revenue obtained from a trip I had arranged to the Brussels European Parliament. In fact I had handed the money over some time before and had a receipt.

Nick Griffin had used a similar process to launch the fake brothel film which he concocted with Clive Jefferson.

To nip this in the bud, on 26th June 2010 I published an article on this blog called THE 10,000 EUROS which can be found here:

The most important part of the article is contained in this passage:

By bringing this issue up and by spreading deliberate lies in this manner, this transaction is now in the spotlight with the following consequences:

1. The money I paid in has not been declared as a donation to the Electoral Commission.

2. The cash payment of over 10,000 Euros to Jim Dowson will draw the attention of the Inland Revenue.

3. The payment of a European Parliamentary subsidy relating to Nick Griffin MEP to the Party will attract the interest of the European Parliament. As the payment wasn’t declared as a donation it has been treated directly as Party money.

These consequences will not have occurred to Nick Griffin MEP’s campaign team. As with so many other things, they do not think through the consequences of their reckless and precipitous actions.

Do you notice that even then I gave them some helpful advice at the end?

I have since established that Jim Dowson ensured the money was paid through his books so that the Inland Revenue would have been satisfied with the paper trail.

A public spirited individual reported the matter to the Electoral Commission and to the European Parliament. I only found out a couple of weeks ago who did this and a belated well done to them! It is always pleasing when people act wisely on their own initiative!

In early July 2010 the Electoral Commission wrote to the BNP asking for an account of what had happened and an explanation as to why no donation had been registered.

The Electoral Commission also wrote to me for clarification on 22nd July 2010 but I actually knew that there wasn’t much a case to answer so I didn’t reply.

The donation was effectively from me and I was a permissible donor.

Donations over £7,500 have to be listed quarterly and although the headline figure was for in excess of 10,000 Euros and the exchange rate was nearly 1 to 1 in those days, the actual donation was for around £4,000 as various expenses that had been pre-paid by the BNP had to be taken into account.

However Griffin is a panicker. He also holds in superstitious dread every word I say. The intention of my article was to put him in a flap and I succeeded beyond my wildest dreams.

What happened next was an exchange of e-mails between Nick Griffin and Dave Hannam. Initially Nick Griffin’s tame solicitor Jane Phillips was copied in, but for reasons which will become apparent she was soon dropped off the recipient list.

Immediately upon receipt of the letter from the Electoral Commission Dave Hannam e-mailed Griffin explaining what had happened. Griffin sent a show-boating reply ritually denouncing my lies and suggesting that a dossier of my lies should be complied for future use (of course this has never happened) and also asking for a relevant invoice.

Then Dave Hannam replied with an invoice.

At this point Jane Phillips was no longer included in the correspondence.

Nick Griffin suggested that the invoice should as near as possible match the 10,000 sum to avoid the possibility of having to pay any money back to the European Parliament... as times were hard!

You will notice that in my Blog article I had invoked the spectre of the European Parliament looking askance at their subsidies being used to cross fund the BNP. Nick Griffin wanted Dave Hannam to manufacture an invoice that showed that there was no ‘profit’ from the trip so that there would be hardy any donation to the BNP to satisfy both the Electoral Commission and the European Parliament.

The genuine costs consisted of bills owed to the coach company for about £2,600 and to the hotel for 3,215 Euros. That was it.

Dave Hannam’s invoice – which was numbered 56 and back dated to 23rd March 2010, included extra fictitious items for Security and Services. This fictitious invoice was from the BNP to Nick Griffin’s European Office.

Dave Hannam had to produce no less than three invoices, all numbered 56 and dated 23rd March 2010 until Nick Griffin was finally satisfied with the total. It was literally a case of...

Higher! Higher! Higher!

The fixed amounts were for the coach and the hotel. These were the only genuine costs and were backed up by invoices from the coach company and the hotel.

The other costs which incrementally rose to a total of about £4,000 were entirely spurious.

They were invented.

The final, biggest, invoice (for about £10,000) was then submitted to the Electoral Commission to satisfy them that there was no donation.

I was shown the emails with Dave Hannam’s name removed as clearly Darragh MacIntyre had made a confidentiality agreement with Dave Hannam. When I said I could tell that the documents must have come from Dave Hannam he refused to answer and asked me not to speculate, which was clearly his professional duty, which I respected.

I know Darragh MacIntyre set a lot of store in this invoice. He flew over from Ireland specially to talk to me about it. I worked out who must have made the complaint to the Electoral Commission and got that person to reactivate the complaint which enabled Darragh to establish that the fake invoice had been submitted by the BNP to the Electoral Commission to close the matter off.

It typifies exactly how the BNP runs its accounts - with fictitious invoices.

Yet did it feature in the program?

Barely.

The three invoices where flashed on the screen at the outset and a garbled version of events was rushed through in the last half minute, along with Griffin’s pitiful excuse that someone must have hacked his e-mails.

With the agreement of his family, Dave Hannam’s involvement in this aspect of the program was also revealed, although that was no surprise to me.

Dave Hannam had a belated attack of conscience and had at last been coming clean. I saw Darragh about the invoices on the Thursday. By the Sunday Dave was dead. When I heard I rang Darragh and he was very shaken by the news.

NICK GRIFFIN AND SIMON DARBY’S ATTITUDE TOWARDS TO DEATH OF DAVE HANNAM

This is the background to Simon Darby’s shameful Freedom of Information Request to the BBC to desperately try and find out what Dave may have told them. He and his master Nick Griffin were literally bricking themselves about what revelations might come out of the Panorama program.

Dave knew Griffin and Darby for the pair of filthy sleazebags that they are.

The tragedy for everyone is that he did not get the chance to spell this out, although his widow has now made it clear that this is the case.

THE EDITORIAL SUITE

So what happened to the program?

It has been described as lacking in punch, being inconclusive, pointless, weak and unfocussed.

I have to agree with these judgements.

Why did this happen?

I have said that for the first time ever the nationalist community cooperated with the making of a television program that was aimed at exposing the worst enemy of nationalism.

What should we have expected the outcome to be?

It has been suggested that many issues may have been sub judice and the BBC’s lawyers may have ordered various cuts. While this may be true of some issues, I am aware of many other matters that could have been spelt out which are not sub judice – such as the invoice case that I related at length above.

It could be that the film makers were incompetent – but again I do not believe they were at all as is shown by their track record.

I do not know whether the word came down from up on high and ordered it so.

I do not know whether some natural internalised BBC cultural inhibitor came into play and made it so.

I think the answer lies somewhere between the last two.

It illustrates that the state knows Griffin is their useful idiot. They will do all they can to keep him there for as long as possible.

ARE YOU SITTING COMFORTABLY?

Just before Panorama starts I will share a couple of things with you.

First – the picture is from a Northern Irish newspaper that appeared this weekend. It refers to yet another legal case that the buffoon Nick Griffin has embroiled himself in. This time it is an Employment Tribunal case relating to the dismissal of staff from the former Belfast call centre. Nick Griffin claimed that he was too scared to go over to Northern Ireland as he had upset so many people due to his antics. However it has been shown that he gallivanted around putting up posters in the Belfast area during the May elections.

Back in July I wrote an article relating to how Nick Griffin attempted to corruptly manipulate the European Parliament into charging me nearly £1,000 with respect to a trip which I arranged to Brussels in March 2009. This was the well known 10,000 Euro trip – when Nick Griffin claimed that I was intent on siphoning off the European visitor’s subsidy in order to pay a hit man to assassinate him. Believe it or not that is the demented story that came out of his horrifically twisted and disturbed mind.

Basically in mid May last year, long before I had declared that I was going to challenge Nick Griffin for the leadership of the BNP and long before I had set this blog up, Nick Griffin gratuitously initiated an action against me by pretending to the European Parliament Visitor’s and Seminars Unit, that instead of 44 people being on the March trip, there were in fact only 40. He helpfully told them that this meant that they had overpaid the subsidy to the tune of 980.96 Euros. As the organiser of the trip I was liable for this alleged shortfall. This was despite the fact that I had handed over to the BNP 10,315 Euros, which was all that had been received (less some cash payments for which I had receipts).

In October 2009 I gave Nick Griffin the chance to come clean and act like a man (that will never happen) but as always the pitiful knave wriggled and squirmed for several months. I continued to get demands for payment from the European Parliament.

Eventually by mid February I had given him enough chances and I wrote to the European Parliament explaining exactly what the filthy little man had been up to.

I heard little more about it and certainly not a thing for over six months.

However curiosity got the better of me and today I had it checked out.

The sum of 980.96 Euros was paid to the European Parliament by Freedom Promotions on 16th March 2011.

The pathetic jerk initiated a process against me to cause me financial embarrassment and ended up having to pay himself! How sweet!

That just about sums up Nick Griffin .A pathetic tired and bloated loser. Everything blows up back in his own face. He should really have learnt that by now.

I wonder how those mugs who donate to the BNP feel about their hard earned money being used to pay off Nick Griffin’s failed schemes?

DAVE HANNAM

I have thought long and hard about what to say about the surprising news that Dave Hannam had died over the weekend. I’m not going to be a hypocrite.

Several years ago, before things split apart, I got on well with Dave Hannam. At the Blackpool Conferences a small group of us would always go out and have a few drinks on the Friday night. It was good harmless fun in those days.

A different atmosphere prevailed after the BNP ‘won’ its two European seats. I could see even at the time that for various reasons the friendly feeling comradeship that existed between many people totally evaporated.

Despite liking him as a person I had always regarded Dave as a liability in the BNP’s Treasury Department. As Deputy Treasurer he was humiliatingly put on a last warning at a well known weekend meeting held in Stroud in July 2009. This was a slightly surreal event with a kid being attacked by Nick Griffin’s security in a pub on the Saturday evening and the ‘riot act’ being read to Simon Bennett, Peter Mullins and Mike Howson (when his guts turned to liquid so they say). I also recall someone else managed to ended up with a ruptured stomach – don’t ask how that could have happened!

I am afraid that inevitably Dave did not pull his socks up and even skipped the last ever RWB that August so that he could go to a dog show. The complaints about him from around the Regions mounted which I reported but nothing was done.

I regarded Dave as a decent enough bloke but woefully and obviously misemployed.

I was frankly shocked when he was made National Treasurer in February 2010 and made my opinions known. This was despite his obvious failure since the Stroud meeting. Unfortunately the main BNP website was taken down at the time of the General Election in May 2010 and all the old content has been lost. But I remember an obviously ‘ghost written’ and ludicrous article by the then Staff Manager praising Dave and announcing his appointment.

Of course about a month later came the big fall out when he told the then Staff Manager that £300,000 had been misappropriated from the BNP’s accounts. I was told but before any sort of enquiry could be made, everyone who knew about this matter was dismissed. Except Dave Hannam. He clearly weighed things up and decided that Nick Griffin would come out on top. That made his choice for him and he grassed.

There’s an expression.

‘Keep your friends close but your enemies closer’.

Nick Griffin hasn’t got any friends so he just keeps his Treasurers close. He does all he can to keep them tied into him. To maintain their silence. They know where the bodies are buried and so far as the BNP’s finances are concerned there are several mass graves.

However there was obviously a great deal of agitation following the General Election regarding the mismanagement of the BNP finances. Although the de facto Treasurer is always Nick Griffin himself and the Treasurers are just his ciphers, inevitably a scapegoat was needed and in October 2010 Dave was sacked as Treasurer and replaced by none other than Clive Jefferson. Inevitably the BNP‘s accounting practices have not improved and the annual submission to the Electoral Commission is again late. The only change is that Jefferson is more creative with his excuses and claims that the auditor was on the sick list!

Dave Hannam had lost all his friends by his actions in March 2010 in exposing the £300,000 black hole in the accounts and then being complicit in covering it up. Due to his further indiscretions on behalf of Nick Griffin – for example saying that the BNP had emerged from the 2010 General Election in the black, when it was actually well over £600,000 in debt - Nick Griffin’s entourage, particularly Jefferson and Pat Harrington, wanted to ditch him as a sacrificial offering to the remaining membership.

Nick Griffin knew this wouldn’t be a good idea as it could make an enemy of someone who knew too much, but despite his best endeavours he could not find Dave Hannam an alternative job. The budget wasn’t available due to the collapse in BNP funding.

Eventually in the early part of this year Dave Hannam disappeared. He left his wife and is believed to have gone to Liverpool with a new girlfriend. But inevitably this did not last.

Because he made the foolish decision to betray his friends and colleagues in order to curry favour with Nick Griffin he ended up alone, penniless and almost friendless. This is a sad and inevitable consequence for those who attach themselves to Nick Griffin’s banner.

One of the tragic ironies of the situation is that I know that Dave had started to spill the beans. He could have gained redemption by setting the record straight but died before this could fully come about.

The only person who will be rejoicing at his untimely death is Nick Griffin. He knows that his secrets are safe. Most of them anyway.

Now Nick Griffin has suddenly discovered that Dave wasn’t a very good Treasurer. How convenient. Took his time though didn’t he? Take a look at this self serving tweet of Nick Griffin’s:

“Shocking news that Dave Hannam has died of a heart attack. While frankly not a good treasurer, he was a good & sincere nationalist & a singer/song writer of considerable talent...”

Nick Griffin of course knowingly misemployed him in the Treasury Department for over ten years and in so doing massively contributed towards Dave’s demise. He only realised Dave wasn’t a good treasurer when he was safely dead.

Now his attack dogs on the internet are following a new script whereby the £300,000 allegation was made as Dave had added things up wrong – he was a rubbish Treasurer anyway, wasn’t he?

Now Simon Darby (and his master Griffin) is desperate to know what Dave may have told the BBC and has sent in a Freedom of Information request to find out. He (and Nick Griffin) have dressed it up with mock concern that the BBC may have been harassing Dave and driven him to an early death. What utter disgusting hypocritical nonsense.

We can be certain that Nick Griffin will try to blame Dave Hannam for everything that ever went wrong with the BNP’s accounts.

They really are a very unpleasant bunch.

I don’t profess to know how Dave died.

I don’t give much credence to the conspiracy theories. Griffin hasn’t got the capability (which is not the same as saying he didn’t have the desire). The state certainly has but would they bother to protect Griffin at this late stage in his fast faltering career? I doubt it.

Dave was only 30 years old but people of that age do sometimes die of heart attacks.

He frankly did not live a very healthy lifestyle.

He ate the wrong food. He never exercised. He was always ill.

He took a mixture of tablets for a variety of ailments, real or imagined. I know one ex-senior officer who provided him with large quantities of non-prescription slimming pills, while themselves being off their head half the time on a dangerous cocktail of prescription drugs. The more you take the worse the side-effects, the irrational mood swings, the more ill you feel, the more dependent and the more messed up.

As a matter of course he took antihistamines, Viagra and Paracetamol along with his inhaler.

He regularly took big doses of antidepressants which often induces a lack of emotion, fatalism and even suicidal tendencies.

Dave liked to think that he was an existentialist. Simply put this philosophy maintains that the individual is solely responsible for giving their own life meaning and for living that life. In combination with his intake of antidepressants this could very easily lead to negative feelings of existential angst – a feeling of morbid dread caused by his own actions.

I am told that Dave’s favourite uncle, who he hero worshipped, committed suicide. Dave died on the exact anniversary of his sacking as National Treasurer – 1st October. He was sacked about six months after betraying the cause to satisfy Nick Griffin and was then ditched in his turn to satisfy the residual mob of crowing Griffinites. He was sacrificed to protect his degraded leader. Thereafter what remained of his life was on a remorseless downwards spiral.

The subject relates to the potential for the development of a strong populist, patriotic, ‘right wing’ political party in this country. The speaker, Matthew Goodwin, suggests that there is massive potential, but only if this hypothetical party goes about things in a completely different way to what has gone before.

Back in July I reviewed the new book by Matthew Goodwin: ‘NEW BRITISH FASCISM: Rise of the British National Party’.

Amongst other things I said this:

“In my opinion Matt Goodwin shows more perception and understands the issues involved better than most of his rivals or predecessors. He has taken the time to interview many members. I suspect he has an element of empathy with the aims if not the means by which organised nationalism has gone about realising these aims.”

and

“Is it likely that the public at large view the BNP as a neo Nazi outfit? Is it likely that Joe Public will think – I like your policies but I get the feeling (perhaps as personified by the personality of Nick Griffin) that you are too hard line?

“I am absolutely certain that this is the case. This book bears this out in excruciating detail. It is what the doorsteps tell us if we ever would listen. It is what the BNP’s election results should tell us. It is what an examination of the BNP membership base tells us.”

I finished by concluding:

“I would suggest that unless such a successor movement takes on board the lessons that can be drawn from this book then it will be doomed to failure. It may gather to itself a limited amount of support – enough to attract a few cheap headlines, but nothing more. Like the BNP in the first decade of the 21st century, it will just have operated as a state tolerated safety valve. With the benefit of hindsight that is exactly how the BNP operated through that decade and how the nationalist cause has always been.

“It lets off steam, but its own inadequacies prevented it from further growth. It was inhibited by its own innate design flaws.

“If you are satisfied with that then carry on regardless. Otherwise look towards a realignment of nationalist politics.”

Matthew Goodwin makes it quite clear to anyone with ears to listen that a new type of movement is required. A renamed BNP without Nick Griffin will repeat all the same entrenched errors. Somew will complacently carry on regardless and scoff because this message was aired on the BBC. Therefore it can't be true.

We need something that is totally untainted by all the nonsense that has betrayed us. And the paranoia.

We are lucky indeed that a party that fulfils all the necessary criteria is already here. It is the English Democrats.

FANTASTIC MEDIA COVERAGE FOR ENGLISH DEMOCRATS

The following article appeared in today’s Guardian newspaper. It is a report on the English Democrats conference which was held over the weekend. It is an excellent report as you will see.

ENGLISH DEMOCRATS COULD BECOME 'ELECTORALLY CREDIBLE' AS BNP DECLINE

The report effectively demolishes all the tired and petty arguments put forward by the professional trouble makers who litter the nationalist movement. Here it is in full:

The red and white of the cross of St George was omnipresent, merchandise for sale included t-shirts emblazoned with the demand: 'Justice for the 50 million' and the prizes at an evening raffle included a box set of films by Shane Meadows.

It could only be this year's annual conference of the English Democrats — a party whose handful of councillors and one elected mayor count as its achievements to date in its 10-year campaign for an English parliament.

Yet, as around 60 overwhelmingly white male delegates gathered at a hotel function room just outside Leicester at the weekend, a party long used to propping up the lower reaches of election ballots is suddenly being looked at in a new light by many beyond its self-professed membership of 3,500.

Thanks to a combination of factors, the most important of which being the implosion of the British National Party, serious political commentators now suggest the door is open for the EDs to exploit the supposedly significant gap in the electoral market for an anti-immigration, radical right party.

A trickle of disillusioned BNP activists have already defected to the party, which despite its motto of "Not Left, Not Right – Just English" is significantly more hardline on immigration than any at Westminster. They also want to pull out of the EU, ensure that the "public culture" of England should be that of the "indigenous English" and condemn "political correctness" as an "evil ideology".

Indeed, as party leader Robin Tilbrook said on Saturday, a new opportunity for the English Democrats was that "some of the people who wanted to do their honest best for our country but made the mistake of joining the BNP are now joining us and will help us become that electorally credible party."

"We need to be sure that such people are genuine converts to a more civic or cultural nationalism and that they will be an asset to our party, but we do not need to be too defensive."

The conference was addressed by one such convert, former BNP councilor Chris Beverley, who sought to address concerns that the English Democrats would be "deluged" by ex-BNP members, insisting instead that the importance of those coming over was that they tended to be "quality" activists who could make a difference.

"To me, the English Democrats are the real exciting new hope for us and there is huge potential for the party to do well," the Guardian was told by Beverley, who spoke glowingly of his new political home after spending 14 years – "my entire adult life" – in the BNP, which he likened to a cult.

Even so, observers note that Beverley remains the constituency officer of Andrew Brons, one of the BNP's two MEPs, who recently challenged Nick Griffin for the leadership of that party.

In addition, another key figure who is awaiting a decision on his application to join the English Democrats is Eddy Butler, the BNP's former national organiser, an architect of past local election successes and a major rival to Griffin's leadership within the divided party.

"People like Butler and Beverley, who is important because he can run and win elections, have been flirting with the English Democrats as an alternative vehicle because in their minds, and in the minds of political commentators, there is significant potential in British politics for a radical rightwing party," according to Matthew Goodwin, author of New British Fascism: Rise of the BNP.

While Goodwin doesn't count English nationalism by itself as a vote winner, he suggests that a new radical right force could grow by tapping into public anxiety over immigration, law and order and hostility towards established parties.

"The test for the English Democrats will come if more people shift over. There might be awkward questions in the party among those who want it to remain BNP-free and those who would want to open up the door to all of these renegades on the right, much like what the NF was in the late 1960s. If it really starts to suck in BNP members and organisers, then you have something that is potentially very interesting - because there is unquestionably still a great deal of potential for a radical anti-establishment rightwing party."

My good friend Chris Beverley gave a very well received speech. It was a very well run, orderly and smart meeting. The result of an internal election was announced and winner and loser shook hands and made speeches. That is how things should be done. The spirit of unity was alive and well!

The English Democrats have been making good progress for the past few years, but it is undoubtedly the case that the increase in media interest in the English Democrats that has been seen in recent times was occasioned by a number of sensible and honest patriots who were formerly members of the BNP joining them. From a personal perspective I am pleased that I have played a prominent role in bringing that mutually beneficial arrangement about.

The ‘usual suspects’ – often people wedded to the old failed model and clinging on to a rapidly sinking ship, along with a few hobbyists who have been shaken from their ‘do-nothing’ comfort zone, had been crying and gnashing their teeth on the internet saying that the English Democrats would be ruined by the influx of decent ex-BNPers. That nonsense story has been well and truly blown out the water.

I suspect they will now change tack and say that this story is proof that the EDs are protected by the state. When one fable is exposed they will switch to another even if it totally contradicts the first!

Their doom and gloom stories are invariable total inventions, such as that the extremely active Southend Branch of the EDs had defected back to the BNP. The core of the Southend English Democrat branch was formed by a group of hard working ex-BNPers who finally had enough and wanted to do something constructive and credible to save their country. They are all very enthusiastic and committed to their new home. They now really enjoy their politics. They are putting out more leaflets than ever before and are getting more enquiries than ever.

Everyone I know who used to be in the BNP and is now active with the EDs confirms that it is a 100 times more pleasurable experience. I can confirm from putting in many hours of canvassing for the EDs during the May elections that the doorstep response is much better. You suddenly find that people open up and talk to you about the BNP – and then you find out firsthand what the people really think. And it is not good.

The BNP was and is smeared because of the sickening own goals – encouraged by the failed leader. It’s members routinely put up racist remarks on their Facebook pages, flaunt guns, pose in semi naked pictures (the males and the females rather disgustingly), engage in Granny porn and so on.

Also the BNP’s too extreme policy position alienates it from the public. Avoid those rather obvious pitfalls and you enter a different world. Do not expect the media to actively supporting the EDs. We can be sure they will turn. But the simple fact is any smears will have virtually no effect as they will have to be invented. The BNP were never smeared by invention – they were and continue to be smeared by embarrassing truths.

If all the best elements within the wider patriotic movement, from UKIP to the BNP and the smaller groups in between, join the EDs then I am absolutely certain that massive and very rapid progress will be made. The electoral advances previously achieved by both UKIP and the BNP combined will be as minor blips in comparison.

That is why I have no hesitation in calling for all honest, sincere, sensible and decent nationalists and patriots to join the English Democrats. England’s only hope.

Actually, as England is by far the largest and most repressed part of the British Isles, the English Democrats are Britain’s only hope.

The future is very bright and the future is red and white!

AN EARLIER BBC INTERVIEW BY ROBIN TILBROOK

At the time of the May elections, Robin Tilbrook the leader of the English Democrats, appeared on a BBC interview where he was questioned about the involvement of ex BNPers. As can be seen these questions were easily dealt with and there was no adverse affect. The EDs won their first two council seats in fact. This interview is interesting as Robin was also asked about the ‘Sinn Fein’ allegations that some misfits think is of great significance. In the interview Robin brushes the matter aside and the reporter was totally satisfied with his response. Why? Because apart from a few embittered misfits, no one else is interested in the story. The BBC is certainly not and the public are not. Politics is about engaging the public in what they are interested in, not obsessing about the irrelevant odds and ends.

That is why the EDs have a bright future ahead of them.

POSTSCRIPT

I will give one last example of the embittered misfits and how they work.

I work part time for Andrew Brons MEP in his capacity as an MEP – doing research relating to his MEP duties. Chris Beverley does the same although he is full time (i.e. 5 days a week).

Anyone who is employed by an MEP is not allowed to do party political work during their work hours. This is a sensitive issue as otherwise the public would be paying for political activists. People in most jobs in most walks of life would be in trouble with their employer of they conducted their private business, politics or whatever, during their employed hours. In a ‘normal’ job if would at best be skiving, but as I say when employed with respect to a political position the matter is much more sensitive.

There is a European watchdog called OLAF that investigates these things and I am aware of at least one such investigation which is ongoing. Their job is to stop political parties from benefitting by abusing the public funding available to them from public bodies, such as the European Parliament. They are not really interested in whether staff ‘skive’. They are interested in making sure that the political party that employs staff do not benefit from their employment by having that member of staff effectively work for that party. They are also interested in making sure that individual MEPs do not use their funding to line their own pockets.

As Chris Beverly and myself are no longer in the BNP and do no work for the BNP in any capacity even though we work in support (by doing research) of an MEP who sits in the European Parliament for the BNP, we are of no interest to OLAF. In a strange way it puts us both in a better position than a BNP activist member of staff employed by a BNP MEP or a UKIP activist member of staff employed by a UKIP MEP. However neither Chris Beverley or myself are skivers and we take our jobs seriously.

The political work that Chris Beverley and I do is in our spare time. In your spare time – evenings, weekends, holidays - you can do as you wish. You can do political work or you can sit at home and watch Coronation Street.

These are not of course the only two options. I have to point this obvious fact out as there are some real mental misfits out there. They are frothing at the mouth about the progress made by the English Democrats and can’t pick up on obvious facts. They seem to think that an employee of an MEP cannot do political work in their spare time – at least their deranged minds have convinced themselves of this.
